Hey @WavRX good to see a fellow esk8 enthusiast in Dubai. Message me if you need help of any kind here. Or you know…maybe hang out.
Thanks @Lee_Wright for just being awesome as always.
Thanks @Fungineers, that’s so kind of you.
Btw I have added Paypal checkout option since many have asked me for it (@Bionic24 @NuRxG )
Also the online dashboard is now live for testing at

Sorry mine out for a second time of year later, I believe I have the V1 beta batch.
Does not connect to app.
Is it possible to have two new venap, and two older firmware, and if so do you have a bin file for the SD card so I can flash firmware to the newest

I rarely here
Hi @kevingraehl
To update to the latest firmware follow this steps:
Using SD Card:
- Download and place update.bin firmware at the root of an SD Card.
- Insert SD Card while iLogger is powered Off.
- Hold reset button and turn ON ilogger.
- Keep holding for 3 seconds then release reset button.
- Blue LED will start flashing rapidly indicating firmware is being updated.
- Do not interrupt, iLogger will automatically reboot after the update is done.
- Unpair/forget the device from Bluetooth list and pair again.
Let me know if you need any help.
Also make sure the app is up to date.
I recently updated the Setup Guide with all the information needed, check it out as well:
Hi @WavRX
Are there any iLoggers in stock? Website says batch 5 in stock and I’m not sure if this mean I’m making a backorder or not.
Cheers
Can’t seem to get my iLogger to do anything. I’ve got it wired up to a DV6 vesc, and it won’t open the settings screen or anything for the module
Any ideas? iLogger has the orange light on, I connected to it and put in my pin, but I can’t select settings or do anything else with it. No idea what’s going on
@PixelatedPolyeurthan Hi, I don’t have any modules available for immediate shipping, but a new batch is expected to be ready in about two weeks from now. I will post an update once its available.
@ShutterShock I replied to your email. But I will post here in case someone else might be having the same issue. It looks like the iLogger is out of date, if you haven’t already:
- Download and place update.bin firmware at the root of an SD Card.
- Insert SD Card while iLogger is powered Off.
- Hold reset button and turn ON ilogger.
- Keep holding for 3 seconds then release reset button.
- Blue LED will start flashing rapidly indicating firmware is being updated.
- Do not interrupt, iLogger will automatically reboot after the update is done.
Unpair/forget device from your phone Bluetooth list, and pair again after the update was done.
Let me know if you still experience any issues afterward.
Yeah thanks for the response
I was able to update it using the SD card, however, I still cannot manage to get any vesc data to show up, I tried doing the exact pinout as listed on the website, which did not work, then I tried just plugging it in with the default pinout, which turns on, but doesn’t transfer any vesc data, and then I tried swapping the rx and tx, which also did nothing, and then tried the other uart port, which also did nothing.
I’m not really sure what to try next. Both sides of the vesc have UART turned on, and the ilogger is set to receive in uart mode
Glad you got it updated. Which Vesc FW are you running?
I checked the pinout of the DV6 and indeed Rx and TX pins are swapped. Rx pin on iLogger should go to Tx on Vesc and vice versa. Pinout can be found here Setup - WavRX
UART baud rate is 115200. If using Dual vesc, set slave vesc ID on the setting tab to enable Dual logging.
Whenever you change settings, press “Apply” button and wait for iLogger to reboot for settings to be set.
Still no luck for me unfortunately. Should the extra wires be disconnected from the VESC or be left connected in the spots that aren’t used
The way it is connected now is the only way it turns on. I tried putting the 5v and gnd wires in the spots I thought they should be according to the dv6 layout, but it’s not working. RX TX swapped or not. Master side or not
The wiring seems incorrect, please check the photo below, Red cable on your vesc photo is correct, goes to 5V on iLogger, so Pin 1 = 5V, Pin2 = NC, Pin3 = Gnd, Pin4 = NC, Pin5 = Rx on iLogger and Tx on Vesc, Pin6 = Tx on iLogger and Rx on Vesc, Pin7= NC.
Yeah so I tried that config first. In that “proper” configuration, it does not even turn on.
You can see why I am confused here, it turned on when it should not have, and does not work at all in the configuration taht it’s supposed to work in.
First pic is using green instead of white
Second pic is mixing up black and yellow, and not using white
This is the correct config. Yellow is ground, blue is RX and white is TX. Black, green and gray are not used.
Oh what the heck I didn’t realize TX was white. I have always seen tx and rx as blue and green
Yeah, the wiring colors are a bit confusing haha
yellow as GND yah very weird lol I’m thinking I should just re-pin both sides. For some reason I was thinking color = what they are, but nope.
Got it repinned, seems to be working now. Woot
I’m thinking that implementing communication between the ilogger and LTT BMS would be cool, is there any possibility of that?
Double checking here about connecting the CAN receiver. The MakerX D100 port only has 3 pins gnd canh and canl. Does that mean from the receiver I leave out the 5v wire then?
Is FlexiBMS supported now ? If yes it is not working for me with iLogger. DavegaX and Metr.at both recognize flexibms. CAN ID is correct but nothing show up in the infintiy App. Did anyone succefully connected a BMS to iLogger ?
