Instead of using a razor blade to trim the bead, I used a dremel tool and ground it down. Worked great!

how’s the torque feel?

Honestly. I’m not feeling the 200x75. They are great for beach and soft ground. But I’m getting wobbles above 25mph with them. Im going to try and balance them tomorrow

I had bad torque with them compared to 200 x 50, but that was with fivestar hubs. Anything other than wobbles? Hopefully some other 200 x 75 tires will come out that are better–slicks or something softer.

I really liked the ride. It was a little sluggish, but seemed like I could throw the board harder and not worry about it sliding out. They seemed to ride higher also

Yeah, these tires are not very precise. Mine definitely spin better on 3DS precision hubs vs fivestars, but my kenda 8x3s are a world of difference (rock solid) on either hub.
Haven’t noticed a difference in grip, treaded vs untreaded, but it’s probably there, especially in compromising surface conditions.
I’ve got like 4 sets for these 200x75 tires, so eventually I’ll spend some more time trying to balance them, or just put them on “slow” rigs and keep it sub 30, which is still plenty for getting around the city and keeping up w/ traffic here.

update!!! The way I had the nese tabs squeezing the individual cells ended up causing (2) Pgroups to have only 3 cells making contact. It was reducing my range and also causing charging issues as those Pgroups would charge faster.
So I ended up buying a spot welder and connected the Pgroups with .020 nickle. This keeps continuity between the Pgroup much better and is still airline friendly and doesn’t need tools or wiring changes

You should sand- mill your heatsinks find so it’s dual tone.

Love it.

Also. Put birthday ribbon on each p group so you can lift out with ease. Like a remote control

@kevingraehl… you are a mind reader!!! Last night I put birthday ribbons on each pgroup for easy removal!!!
Also I did have the heatsink black and purple at first. I didn’t like it so I went all purple

Soooo I was talking to my friend the other night who said he had a friend who built an amazing esk8.

So of course I said “you got pics? I need some esk8 porn in my life”

Once the pics started coming in I realized I’ve seen this before…oh shit, that’s the indigo love child!

Also, you need to speak with your friend…he bought himself a one wheel.

It’s Slow Dan Wilson btw! Small world eh?
