“Can you pull my leg off, please” LMFAO im litterally dying

You are probably the most calm person ever to get a dislocated knee (which quite a few said I believe lol). Can’t imagine how I would have reacted lol.

Glad you’re alright and still wears protection even though it’s “just” a lunch ride.

Stay safe, don’t want to see yet another post of you (or anyone else) crashing

Dislocating stuff it’s as bad as people think. It fucking hurts but after it’s set it doesn’t take much longer than a sprain / strain to heal up.

My shoulder has a tendency of dislocation… it’s a bitch but its nothing like a real break.

@whaddys it’s not that bad. Camera only points at the knee for a few seconds, the rest is me crashing and conversation.

Doc said to take it easy for a week which I take as stay off the death machine for a week and then take it easy for a while after that. I can kind of walk on it but am using crutches while miming the motions with my prosthetic and I have no pain doing that. Just gotta let it reset and heal a bit. Just as long as I don’t do it again this month I should be fine.

For real… I didn’t take it easy after dislocating my shoulder. Did it again 3 days after being set. Then a month later I broke my collarbone and gave myself impact fractures on my shoulder blade… needles to say my right arm isn’t happy these days and dosen’t work the way it used to.
Take it easy dude.
Last thing you want is a bum knee on your left leg.

Ok that’s a relief, get better fast man!

Edit : Man you’re a legend to ride this fast with a prosthetic, hope my comment is not out of place but I respect the hell outta you.

Thats absolutely brutal… hope you recover fast! Respect for driving with a prosthesis man. Was thinking it would look quite awesome if you had some kind of a mechanical prosthesis attached to your board matching your build, people would stare in awe… sorry lol

Good to hear you’re not too fucked up dude.

Now after you’re healed up, you should chop your penis off so that next time you can kindly ask the nice lady that’s around to pull your penis off…

I’ve been getting some backlash for this from friends and family about attempting to pass that grey car who was trying to make a right turn before I hit the curb.

Yes, it wasn’t the greatest idea to do what I did. I was trying to make the light, and simply saw that pedestrians were in the crosswalk blocking the car so I took the opportunity (and failed pretty hard). There were about 2 seconds left on the crosswalk light and pedestrians in the middle of the road so 1- the car couldn’t have turned or they would have run someone over, and 2- there was a sizable gap for me to navigate through before the intersection cleared with enough room for them to make their move. Was also going slow enough and bleeding off speed to stop just in case. Still, it wasn’t the safest maneuver and had I pulled it off it could have landed me in a worse position than I am now.

Family will always give you flack, in my family it’s a sport. Don’t second guess yourself, you weren’t in the wrong, just do it better next time.

Yea!!! Next time try doing it without crashing! I agree with that statement… hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20

Case in point, when I had signal interference on Monday, and the board accelerated out from under me on a downhill, my solution was to move out of the hotspot 50m down the road and get back on again. I was still shaking. Just get back on it son, stuff happens.

@Saturn_Corp Dude, I’m glad you’re OK and that it wasn’t worse, like getting hit by the car in bindings. Even though I knew about the prosthetic, it was still pretty weird to see your leg twisted around the wrong way and you sounding so calm. I’m super sketch about riding anywhere near cars when in bindings after a car ran a red light and sped past right in front of me when the crosswalk signaled my turn and was about to cross. Thinking about how on a normal board, I’d get hit and sent flying and tumbling, but in bindings, I’d be locked to the board and get run over badly with no chance to jump off. Traffic riding is where I think @dani’s Yobi’s or Freebord bindings really shine.

And @malJohann, did you get your failsafe fixed/reset? My biggest fear for others is the board randomly taking off full throttle and slamming into someone and at worst a child.

Yes mate. Did that the night I found out and confirmed it was set to full throttle. It’s now set to neutral, so no throttle or braking, just coasting when there’s signal loss.

Lmao guess who dislocated their knee again.

Luckily I was riding with a Uni bro and he was able to set it back into place quick sharp. I gotta stop doing this.

Guess the Yobis aren’t the solution to my dislocation problems sadly. Just gotta fall better.

10/10 hobby choice.

Sometimes you get lucky.
Sometimes you don’t.

Any way you can add some gas pedals and get rid of foot bindings completely, or do you depend on them to keep your prosthetic in place on the board? How about footstops instead?

Stop hurting your leg dude. Just stop it right now. Daddy has spoken.

Just for reference, in case anyone wants to challenge Darens daddy status. You should know he’s got a herd of kids and they are pretty good looking.
