I owe you all an apology

Looks like a lot of new boards are going for sale/being completed. When will I get a new set of these beefier trucks or a refund for the ones that bent? Not even being an ass, those new zero degree trucks look dope. I’d happily take a set of those + mounts as replacement of the two set’s of the bendable HeXL’s I bought.

I know Dave ID’d a go between, forget which user it is tho. So posting here.

You got Instagram ? @Brently just shoot him a message on there

That hasn’t worked for me in the past. I’ll try tho. He flat out told me I’d have to chase Chris last I touched base with him. Then this thread got made, and statements about make goods were made so figured I’d follow up where those statements were said.

Nah man, you’ve gotta send a text to Chris, who will send a carrier pigeon over to Lou. Lou’s gonna write up a nice letter and seal it up with a nice wax stamp, and he’s gonna walk it personally down the street to see Mickey.

Now Mickey swings by Daves every odd Thursday or even Wednesday of the month, unless those days fall on Lents, then youre SOL.

If Dave also happens to be home, Mickey will use his flashlight to beam the contents of your original text message up to Dave’s second window via morse code, and Dave will then (hopefully) have received your message.

AND THEN, you’ll get your shitty ABS enclosure you’ve been waiting 17 months for.

Remember when people were trying to defend this, stupidly?

Here’s a great example of exactly why this is a dumb idea:

The user put a soft riser pad in, gave just enough wiggle for vibrations to occur and eventually caused a catastrophic failure. The same exact thing can happen if you put a soft riser pad on top, which is exactly what this is. Also, stupid.

Oof I was about to put a washer on my board’s deck screws, what do you advise instead?

A metal washer is fine- soft plastic or rubber is not, which is what both instances here are doing.

I don’t get it aren’t riser pads commonly made with soft material? What good would it do if it’s too hard?

(softer) Riser pads are made for skateboards, not electric boards that get 1000s of miles and a much greater magnitude of vibration.

Putting a printed riser-plate on top of your trucks is what I would call ‘pants on head retarded’. It places a soft piece of plastic that will undoubtedly disintegrate when a metal bolt that shakes from road vibration is constantly pressed into it. As soon as it gets loose (when, not if), the bolts start to move, and will suffer from fatigue damage from lateral shifting/movement. Snap goes the bolts.

Well I didn’t know that and I am not surprised that this Nazare rider wasn’t aware of this either.

Edit
not talking about the printed parts but the riser pads, I didn’t know that we should use those on an electric skateboard.

Interesting I haven’t heard this before. I would like to see the data (or at least the physics) of what’s going on. Hopefully the Riptide riser is alright since it has some hardness to it.

Hmmm… what about tunnel risers? They was made specifically for esk8 :eyes: r dey safe robot man… cuz I gots them bad boys on all me boards…

I don’t wanna snap snap :sleepy:

Harder would be better. I’m talking specifically about soft plastics/rubber.

Yeah, Dave is ‘innovating’ here.
