VanHeelSingWolf received his board
He’s also one of the 50 founders and is based in Portugal
So I’m guessing he’s one of the first.
Impression as follows

Yes i did i only did one ride with it so far at the lowest power yet to get a feeling for it. Even at low the torque for that power level felt right. Speed is the same toping up at around 22 to 25 kmh (weakest riding mode) Comfort fron someone very used to ride a mountain board i was very impressed given the board has solid wheels i didn’t expect to feel such a ease going in challenging terrain that i would never do in a normal longboard in sum yes the suspension is fenomenal. Maneuverability they did say that after the second full battery run the wheels will be at its fullest turning rate even with that said i already felt like its a very good turning rate considering the weight and size of it.
I hope to have a more in depth feel for the board after a do some more rides
Oh, I need to email them to ask, but since they’re using vesc 6.6, I’m wondering if there’s space to add the vesc Bluetooth module? Also, I’m wondering if those would be compatible with cloudwheels donuts?
Would be interesting if cloud wheels decide to build a donut for them。 wonder if it’ll fit on the hybrid drive motors they have.
I’ll drop Pedro a note and see if I can find out the specs
I know I’ll probably end up asking them (feel bad asking too many questions!), and this probably applies to my new ecomobl m24 pro as well, but I’m wondering what kind of grease the gears use and how often it should be applied?
Got a reply from the man, Pedro himself.
Regarding the Yellow thane.
These wheels are being tested as they are focused on expanding and will need to source outside wheels to fulfill demands. They are currently in talks with iWonder regarding CloudWheels as well. No concrete time line as of yet.
The wheels are replaceable and there will be a video showing how to do that soon.
Questions regarding battery packs and possible upgrades will be answered in another email soon!
Cheers all
I think grip tape can be laser cut. Maybe you have a local maker space where you can use one?
It is cool to see this, though I’m a little bit surprised that they cut the tape right on the deck. The material can burn, which will leave marks on the deck. I’m sure they know what they’re doing though. Maybe they get the speed and power settings exactly right and whatever laser that is isn’t super susceptible to wear (reduction in power).
