Not me, is someone’s test ride
Not me, is someone’s test ride
That rattling noise would drive me crazy
Thanks for showing how you change the battery, wasn’t clear !
Looks cool, I hope i’ts not going to do a little puddle of water in the cable pocket in the battery hole if it gets wet out
It looks like there are only 2 wires in the battery connector.
Might be nice if they don’t have the esc talking to the batt.
Makes diy batts an easier option
Yeah you could def DIY one but I don’t know how much of a benefit that would be considering the space haha
Hi Plunctor! Most of the boards shipped are in the US and Canada. Could you please send an email to happiness@hunterboards.com with your order number or the email you used to make the order and I’ll check it ASAP?
Several boards were lost by the shipping company and we want to make sure everyone gets their board.
I’m terribly sorry for this. We’re shipping more boards in the next days. I’ll make sure yours is one of them. Thank you for your patience.
This is not what “hot swap” means
If it’s off, nothing is “hot”
If it requires screws, it’s not “quick”
Forgive me, for I’ve sinned greatly.
I’ll drag my non-english native speaking arse to the dark corner of the room and go on a rampant self-flagellation session.
-.-
I can hardly understand your gobbledegook Ricardo.
Nobody can expect you to master multiple languages and their jargon, but now we all know.
You should hear rock climbing jargon. Do they use a grigri or a pignose? How many friends on his belt? If you lead a route do you also red point it?
Jargon is the hardest part of learning new languages.
I totally disagree, this is quite quick. Under 1 minute is way less than probably 90% of people could swap their batteries out
“hot” technically no, but still that’s pretty nit picky
It’s not as fast as a Revel kit where there’s just a push button but this is a different application
I don’t see how it’s different but okay.
It’s a battery on a skateboard. One uses rails and a latch while the other uses screws.
One is quick, the other takes a couple minutes.
The only complaint about battery swap procedure comparing to revel is that you need extra tools, that’s pretty much it. And even then most other things of convenience like the mini remote also has batteries and you need screwdriver to remove the cover which takes a minute, does that make it not swapable? Most folks who use extra batteries do it for longer group rides anyway so idk what’s the 1min battery swap fuss all about. Ive had leaks that last longer than that. You don’t have to disassemble entire thing, just remove retaining screw to lift it out, it’s not ebike 20 seconds turn key fast but 1 minute is def not slow.
Yes they are swappable.
Because the device powers off it’s not a “hot-swap”
Because it needs a screwdriver, it’s not a quick swap either.
According to most of the world (at least the people I’ve talked to) a few minutes is slow, while a few seconds is fast, and when I ask people around me about this aforementioned situation they all say the need for a screwdriver automatically makes it slower and more annoying.
Personally, I don’t mind using a screwdriver. And I’m not trying to fight anyone. I’m fighting misinformation.
I never argued about term hot-swapping, it’s obviously misued term nowdays.
I was arguing about 1 minute still being considered quick swappable and how many things have couple of extra steps yet it’s still considered quick swapable which in turn means 1 minute is neglegable. Bycicle batteries have key that you have to put in and turn before taking out battery behind back seat.
Annoying to remove? Yes, but still quick. We are not dissasembling 12 screw fiberglass case afterall but removing 2 faseners that hold battery that is it’s own seperate part.
Edit: so the tool to unscrew 2 fasteners is on the battery which makes it even better.
I have great news😀
We are already implementing this update on boards from clients that sent us the board back to do this update. But we will ship every board with this port from now on.
This port will also make possible the stacking of batteries on the skateboard(but more on that later).
Oooh we love stacking batts around here, tell use more.
The stackable idea is an awesome one if you can pull it off successfully!
I’m guessing that the batteries would stack into 10s6p rather than 20s3p?
Yes 10s6p but we all still finding a way to hold it easily and without scratching against the grip tape.
If i may suggest moving the charge port to not under the deck . Your boards are absolutely marvelous and i understand if you have space restrictions, however maybe its a smarter place to put the charge port on the sides when hopping curves, going offroad, etc. I imagine these boards are going to be abused a lot.
