Hunterboards, a new take on e-skate design?

Finally …

I met Hunter crew, tried the board and walked through the company.
To resume a long day on short post.

Fantastic crew, young guys with hunger for greatness, passionate by their project, well diversified in competences, humble yet ambitious and openminded.

I was really skeptical on how the board would feel under my feet, sure it looks great …. but do you want a good-looking toy or do you want a robust, well built, comfortable mean of transportation, this were my thoughts before today.
I have assembled couple of DIY esk8 and always preferred wood versus glass/carbon fiber decks so an aluminum deck was so offside I though either their on to something or it’s a epic fail. I though this would compromise flexibility and comfort. How wrong I was, I felt great on top of it the suspension does a great job absorbing the road and bumps and the aluminum deck really stands out as a premium object. Great finishing, battery assemblage is flawless with CNC machining making it a high precision component. I dare to say there’s no other deck in the world with this level of high precision.

Moving forward to suspension, this for me from what I saw and read before this test was the most innovative design I wanted to see, here I was pretty confident I was going to like it and they didn’t let me down, felt great carving with a small radius (much smaller than my eMSK8) the bushings were a little to lose for me to go fast but it was really awesome to maneuver through obstacles. The suspension is an assemblage of several components completely done in-house and very proprietary design.

All electric components are excellent quality from hub motors, to vesc, to battery and remote, really liked the remote, very unique, simple and discreet, they went a long way not to copy anyone.

Wheels, they even do their own wheels which behave really above my expectations because I normally ride emsk8 with 200mm air tube wheels, but these ones were not shy to harsh terrain and shitty roads.

The packaging of all this just outrageous it feels like a military product.

So Hunter proved me wrong, they are definitely on to something great, and the board is not only robust, well built, comfortable, it is also lightweight, powerful and with delicious details on it.

So final words are loved the product and the company.

Now I have to ditch a old esk8 and put myself in the waiting line to receive my Hunter.
Looking forward to see what Hunter brings us in the future.
