There’s certainly a point to you voting, otherwise your competitors would all be up by one vote — their own.

This is a little over the top. I submitted some designs so we can further support Hoyt and get more great esk8 products in this incredibly niche market.
I don’t think mine are the best unless you’re specifically looking for that style. If you want a slick power x-thing, the @Cyanoacrylate , @ZachTetra , and @ShutterShock designs are great.

I would have loved to as well. Looking forawrd to more opportunities like this.
I wanted to play but time/motivation was hard to find.
I feel biased against the antisink style designs as the easiest way to make these designs real is via 3d printing… i’m totally fine with using 3d printed parts, I use them a lot. But 3dp antisinks are a no-no for me

I could see a 3d printed design that uses spacers (like axle spacers) with a washer.
So the spacer is the height of the 3d printed riser, and when you screw down you are effectively pushing down the spacer while the washer below stop it digging into the deck.
The plastic would not be under stress at all

It compresses though over a small surface area like a washer/spacer.
I’ve made many 3dp axle spacers. They work fine for a while, but they definitely compress and loosen up.

Take that idea one step further - a laser cut (sendcutsend) 6061 alum plate with some sort of locating features for a 3dp power indicator. Maybe you could get away with a fastener - aluminum plate - printed part - deck sandwich.
PETG/ABS/Nylon is pretty solid in pure compression with a lot of surface area.

Have you ever taken the wrap off a brand new gorgeous deck, and proceeded to sink a drill bit right through it? 
It’s stressful the first time, but it gets easier

I did this to install the Hoyt St battery indicator and fucked up so yeah stressful to say the least 
(guess there’s no clever workaround). Also, the same feels as when you over tighten an enclosure bolt and it pokes up through the deck, damn hurts the soul.

Lol I did this on one deck - fortunately it wasn’t even new, but it was painful. still haven’t replaced the screws with shorter ones yet
In other news I will be drilling a hole through a senderized deck for a davega - that is painful.
