My mistake building a board on 1 hour of sleep…

Uh oh. The always dangerous “bringing the wife into it” move. This could go very badly.

This went from 0-100 faster than than a knife fight in a phone booth

Should i just try this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-5-8-in-11-Zinc-Plated-Hex-Nut-801786/204647894

firstly like everyones said, dont rush

Second, put the thread into a vice, with timber on each side so you don’t damage the thread. then use a shifter, spanner, socket or tube spanner and loosen. Of course make sure you are loosening it

My wife is a school teacher. If she read that you would get a raised eyebrow and a thousand yard stare till you pissed your pants.

I do not fuck with her

Actually thats not true. Only up to a certain point though then I run.

Do you have some multi grip pliers? Do you have a shifting spanner or a correctly sized spanner for the nut? If so the grip the body of the switch with the multis and turn the nut off with said spanner. Nothing is ever too tight if you use the correct fulcrum.

Having drilled the hole in the wrong place you can get rubber bungs from your local diy store. Tide you over before the best customer service guy in the business sends you a new one.
@BuildKitBoards there are a lot of established companies that could take a big leaf out of your book brother. One in particular springs to mind…Starts with E and ends in oh we’re out of business
