How to ship skateboard decks inexpensively in USA ??

I wanted to ship Hummie deck with a 3D printed enclosure to California bay area and given the size 44X4X10 the USPS shipping says it’s going to be $46. Isn’t that too much when shipping is half the price of the deck. I am probably bad at searching but how do people ship decks with minimum shipping cost.

Idk how @Agressivstreetlamp did it, but he sent me Trampa Carver deck, enclosure, and full electronics for like $27?

I wonder if you have a paypal business account, maybe you can get cheaper shipping rates through it. Dunno, just speculating.

Yes, always insure packages. Always. For the actual amount of the check you want to receive if the package disappears forever.

I’ve been waiting on an unisured FOCBOX package for over a year now… it’s never coming. Don’t make the same mistake.

First off, don’t USPS for anything with a battery. It’s illegal and will end in problems.

Batteries are required to ship via ground. And a hazardous item check as well as the un3480 sticker (there are several but you’re fine with any of em) just make sure it has one

Personally I’ve always had lick with ups ground for small dense packages since it’s more accessible. Larger bulkier boxes are best with FedEx.
Always pay for label online. !!! Retail locations have huge mark-ups

Minimize empty space. Otherwise you’re paying to ship air. Remove trucks and wheels.

This is exactly what it costs, doesn’t really get cheaper than that. But who cares the buyer fronts the cost anyway

I paid that price to send 30lbs of gear from NY to Texas, I figure a few dollars can be saved with just a deck in the box… Lol

I got the same price in paypal-usps as with USPS directly, UPS however is almost half the cost. $24 whereas USPS is $46. That’s really surprising. I wen’t with the cheapest option in both.
