How to ship skateboard decks inexpensively in USA ??

Yep, I just checked. UPS is a lot cheaper. I always thought it was the more expensive option.

Have hope!

I buy my longboard deck from eBay free shipping. No ground shipping available in my area because I live in the Island. To ship in my state cost around $40.00 bought a deck from eBay for $56.00 free shipping USPS it took five days to arrive. Wow! I know parcel post is cheaper but it’s takes forever to arrive.

Essentially USPS is only the cheapest when you are using priority mail services because they take major loses on those. If you’re mailing a box from home and especially if you go to the post office to mail it you’re going to pay out the ass.

ups is also much faster right now depending on what you’re mailing since usps is only prioritizing priority mail services. Ups is just taking every package they can get and keeping the rates reletively the same. But in general UPS has a much more robust and efficient system than USPS. Mainly because USPS is run by the government but I digress :joy:

They’re really fucking us right now. ( I work for ups ) Residential services make them much less than retail and that’s waaaay down while e-commerce is waaaay up so they are still losing money.

We usually would get 30-40k packages a day this time of year at my hub. We’ve only fallen below 80k for the first time since before Christmas a couple weeks ago. USPS is taking it even worse than we are.

I cut them in half and reassemble later. Saves a ton of money.

Cheapest I’ve shipped a longboard deck was $23. I bought a box that perfect for it and used a PayPal business account. Minimize your dimensions as much as possible.
