Made me feel sorry for all the poor joggers I saw on both sides of that, on that path. Not sure what they were doing when they got there. It was rather cold outside, so stepping in it was probably strictly off-limits. (39F/4C)

Brine. Brine was happening on the roadways the week before that. The bearings were all completely fucked.

That skate was retired 6 months ago.

best thing to do to prevent brine ingress is to dip the entire board in a vat of vasaline before every ride.

to answer this thread, i don’t clean my board unless shit gets in the pulleys, because compacted crud in pulleys will pop a belt eventually. So while im doing that i’ll wipe everything down with a damp rag.
