This superior and better clearance drive comes in and makes clearance so much better for drop down decks like the Evo. Wth Jeff

Progress update:

We have carefully selected each of the materials for the different components of the drive and have made the initial payment to our vendors.

We’re now in the production phase! With the costs of our components out of the way, we will now be looking into firming up our shipping options. When that’s done, we will be releasing the price of the mk2 drive! (Expect package deals when bundled with wheels, trucks, motors, or when you purchase more than 1 set!)

Below are the finalised components. Carbon Steel pinion on a POM wheel gear now, as opposed to alu on POM. The pinion will also be black oxide treated for corrosion resistance.

Do you remember what you paid for the 220kv? @Kellag too. Looks like the sealed 6374 from maytech are $120, and $40 shipping for a pair right now. Trying to get a price check. I wish I’d caught the bioboards sale…

I did a bulk order of 8 from Maytech when I got them. I think it came out to around the same price as BioBoards after shipping. I only have 1 motor remaining, these months later

Lol Group Buy for one!

I sent maytech an email, see if prices look good enough to do some kind of GB. Thanks man.

I’m so hungry I may try to eat it though. Hope it doesn’t void warranty

Ah i thought that was the casulty. Did you end up getting a refund for it?

Lol don’t bring it up, @Agnes_Maytech is a tool🤣

Lol @Kellag knows about my back and forth with Agnes. She was unwilling to replace the motor. Her advice was to keep using it disregarding the fact pieces of the motor pcb had come apart resulting in intermittent wedging between stator and can causing it to seize. I would have to pay for shipping to have the motor repaired. This happened under normal use with less than 100miles on motor.

Looks like a hall sensor fell off the board. I have serious doubts as to whether sensors add or subtract from the experience… The vesc didn’t fry itself?

Hey so how much do you want for that one? Maybe the remaining good one too.

Luckily the VESC was all good. Motor was still functioning when I discovered defect but I didn’t want to take any chances putting it back in. PM sent
