Omg omg omg. Holy hot swappable pinions batman

15:43 with some 190kv

means its 20% cheaper yeah? /s
Hahahaa. Maybe 20% cheaper shipping
Fyi: It’s about 20% faster too.
Any chance this’ll be made with steel pinions at some point? I really don’t trust AL of any kind to last long with that frequency of stress cycles going through it.
This is actually something we’re working out and might just change to stainless steel pinions! The only deterring factor for us right now is the cost. However, Alu pinions have shown to work for over 1000s of miles for us.
Two separate parts! The second COVERS the first. Those holes curled on the first are where the motor screws into it from the back
now that is sweet
@avX, could you add me to the ‘interested’ list? I would love to find out more
What @Zach said (:
Sure. Will do!
Can I get on that list too! Been eyeing this since the first version-- might pull the trigger this winter. Thanks!
Gotcha. Will add you too!
I would definitely like to know once this is ready was going to get the other drive until I seen you were working on this. I have a build planned for the winter hopefully be on board in spring. But would love to try these and those kahua trucks hopefully I can get in touch with @haggyboard.timo to see about the precision full cnc set. Anyways shit looks good dude can’t wait.
Sure. I’ll add you to the mailing list too.
So, some of you have requested to see the size difference between the MK1 and the MK2.
Here’s some renders for you guys
Don’t think those motors have a keyway though
sidenote: That’s the best griptape job ever.
Oh shit.
