My shop has been needing some love for a while now, but lack of time and lack of funds always stands in the way of it getting what it deserves.

As long as you know you’re in for hell at the start 
it’s a long start. But there’s a duplicate function to copy over the ones with simple variations. And you can’t fuck it up since you can only have a single bundle linked to a product.

I dont have too many items on my store that need bundling… is what I say now, knowing full well that I’m going to go bundle-crazy as soon as I sit down with this app

You know how you can create “variants” for an item? (Ex.: A shirt with size variants) bundles serves as a way of telling shopify what each variant equals in terms of items required to sell said variant
Shirt is a bad example. Let’s say a battery with BMS and a battery without. Now shopify would understand to remove 1 BMS for one variant without you having to do it manually
For you, I could easily imagine a custom pack page with every options possible but that still links the order to parts needed

did i ever tell you about the time i had some 40 components in a phantom category and used them to selectively add parts to a shopping cart in the background to add up the total of a completely custom board? It was a board builder of sorts. I did the whole thing in javascript and liquid within shopify. That was 2016. The end result was checking out with a complete parts list and the order information to go with it. I knew what to build, guy knew exactly what he was getting.
When i was talking about stupid easy inventory management, i was talking about single items. anything more complicated than single, non customizable items gets really stupid really fast and that’s how they sell their plugins. Variations and bundles complicate the shit out of things unless you only use them as non price altering options. I swear they do this on purpose.
I’m about to drop my tier back down because i’m no longer taking options or variants and don’t need integrated carriers for shipping.
Anyway… WTF is ACTUALLY HAPPENING over at torqueboards?

I cant say where I heard it from but it’s a trusted inside source. TB/Dex has no interest in reviving TB from the grave its digging. I have been told that TB will be left to die/fade out of existence.
@ one point there was talk of someone buying TB but I havent heard anything about it in a while. So I can only assume Dex doesnt want to sell and is letting it die out.
I’ve kept my mouth shut about this for awhile now but I’ve seen countless people here and on .builders losing money to TB. Its time people know what is highly possible (actually) happening with TB.

This was the plan but alas, looks as if he isn’t selling. And I cant say for sure he was going to sell. I can say that those talks were had though.
Somebody buy the rights and make the products better, please. Would spend money!!!
