Heed the warnings, don't trust Torqueboards

sorry, still very emotional about having to dump out a bottle of the best water in the universe into a garbage can at JFK. I’m still trying to pull myself together.

Nobody just gives away their junk drawer… if it was that easy they wouldn’t have a junk drawer in the first place.

I’ve been trying to get in contact with torque boards for about a week now and so far no response. Hopefully they get back to me about my order but seeing this thread has made me lose some hope.

^ @torqueboards Dexter’s ass AKA state of his customer service

Just do a CC charge back tho. TB has like, no offerings that you can’t get better of/cheaper than from other vendors here, except for maybe big thane. If you make a post about wanting to buy big thane tho, I’m sure somebody will come thru at a modest price.

Dealing with a similar issue with them right now. They didn’t send all the parts for a kit I ordered and they have gone dark for emails. So I guess it’s time for a CC dispute.

Anybody know the dimensions of the crossbars for the 218mm trucks and motor mount kit?

Excellent thanks, I will get the guys in the machine shop to make me something up.

Is there supposed to be a bearing that goes inside the drive pulley? Or just that bushing they provide to space the wheels out as the axle is so long.

Im not quite sure what u meant, but the crossbar can only be mounted using together with TB’s own bolt on pulley, which doesn’t have bearing to align itself. Any other pulley will push the motor mount further in,so the crossbar won’t fit

I was just wondering if there was supposed to be a bearing inside the pulley that is bolted to the wheel. It just looks a little strange having just a bushing to space the wheel out on the axle to be in the right place for the pulleys to line up.

no, there is no bearing for TB’s pulley

Just got a reply back today from torqueboards regarding the crossbars and it seems they aren’t offering them any longer due to the V7 mounts being stronger than the V6. I thought it was supposed to be included with the dual motor kit but they said the picture for the kit is old and needs to be updated.
Not sure if those were the parts you were referring to.

the crossbar indeed was included in the v7 dual mount set, it was only for a short run. that’s also how i got mine since i only had the v7 version

note, the corssbar doesn’t fit

Thanks for the picture.

Question about your drive pulley. Did yours come with four set screws each or only two? Mine only has two set screws/bolts each that go into the end of the pulley but I also see the pulley has two other threaded holes under where the belt would lay.
Maybe I should go buy some set screws to make sure it doesn’t fly off on the first ride.

i think it should be 4, but i will have to double check that once i get home

from my previous purchase with TB, their communication on average is about 1 email per week :joy:

Yes that sounds like the norm with them. Usually you’d expect about 1 business day response time with most people but they seem to take a good while. You should just charge back if you have to wait that long.
