where I’m coming from, I already have wanted a smaller board. It sounds nice to have a light little cruiser. Not just heavy AT boards. Buying this board would be purely for enjoyment and not to resell, at least at this moment. I’m coming from the perspective that this is a good deal for the parts and I have new components to replace those that break or don’t feel right, and the fact that it would cost me an insane amount more to build a comparable board. I started this conversation because you guys are more knowledgeable on what could be the root of those problems and it’s nice to hear feedback before I buy.

Looking for ESC Repair – Evolve Stoke X (Phase Short / FET Issue)
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for someone who can repair an Evolve Stoke X ESC. The board suddenly stopped pairing to the remote, and one wheel is now locking up.
Here’s what I’ve diagnosed so far:
• Remote won’t pair → ESC isn’t completing startup
• One motor locks up
• When I swap the motor connectors, the locked wheel follows the ESC side, not the motor
• So the motor is fine — the issue is on the ESC
• Looks like a blown MOSFET, shorted phase, or gate driver failure on one side of the dual ESC
If anyone here does:
• ESC repairs
• MOSFET replacements
• DRV/gate driver reflow
• Phase short diagnostics
…I’d really appreciate the help. I can pay for the repair — just trying to avoid dropping $300+ on a new ESC from Evolve.
I’m in Garden Grove, CA, but I can ship the ESC if needed.
