Amazing. I guess Trampa never gets anything wrong, ever. It’s uncanny. they always blame the user every time.
I totally haven’t discounted that this could be a firmware OR a user error.
But this is the firmware that the units shipped with. I would expect it to work a little better.
How has the struggle gone? I’m considering a D75 for 13s but I’m waiting to see if your issues are with the hardware or just FW
I found a third one and it worked like a charm.
@YUTW123 followed this up and it appears that this is very likely a hardware issue, but i’ll let him explain the details
Problem found: The resistance of the Hall pull-up resistor is too large. Which makes the motors with weak Hall output undetectable. If your ESC has this problem, please contact us. We will handle this for you for free.
Sorry for the inconvenience
Will the resistor value be corrected for all future orders of these ESCs, or only if the customer has issues with their setup?
Subsequent orders will be corrected
Is this also a problem on the original small batch D75? I’m still yet to use it as it was bought as a spare. Just curious. Thanks.
Mine did seem to have detection problems but have eventually got it to work.
Cheers for info. How did u get it to work? Constantly running detection? Or finding motors that had hall sensors compatible?
@JeffyJ I “restored motor default parameters”
On settup and it worked.
My makerx d75 caught on fire dueing motoe detection. Opened it up and saw this. What do you think happen??
this kinda looks like a cold solder joint to me
Hate to break it to you but you likely not getting a refund either…ask me and @Taraskasyanyuk how we know
Same exact thing happened to Taras, blew up on detection…second one failed like a day later. Been over 6 weeks since we sent them back and no refund. Anyhow long story short, prolly PayPal dispute. I must have the worst luck on the planet earth, keep hearing of all these people having really good success with makes X stuff…just seems every time I get something it blows up ![]()

@YUTW123 could we get some clarity on this? Your stuff looks really good but this looks really bad.
You have a good product here, lots of money on the table.
What’s going on ? You have a lot of good will with us so I’m happy to hear the other side of the story.
Apparently he is waiting to refund us until he gets the package full of blowed up escs…but I mean…it’s been 6 weeks…we have a USPS tracking number that won’t update since the package left the states…soooo… also, DOA units shouldn’t require shipping back in my opinion and last…we are eating $50ish bucks in return shipping fees, package was sent priority 8-10 day delivery…I realize this means 8-10 days TO china, but still the whole situation is weird.
That’s a whole different story dude, still not great though.
I wonder how they’d handle this if it were a B2B transaction …
We’ll fuck I was really hoping makerx would just pick right up where spintend left off with the high voltage escs (spintend is obviously still around but I don’t consider it an option anymore)
Whats weird is it ran like a boss for about 150mi before i decided to rerun motor detection on the bench after swapping my gear ratio. And all of a sudden poof. Just glad it didnt happen while i was riding
So it ran fine and next time the motors were activated it was during this detection process?
Did you happen to klick the “default all vesc settings” in the wizard at that point.
It seems important to keep the phase filters turned off… I don’t know if it could lead to this though.
Actually maybe they are default OFF in the firmware the unit is shipped with now that I think of it? ![]()
Im just throwing ideas out here… sorry for your loss.
