Lol. Yeah.
I like everything to have a theme.
Figured I only had white filament and the aperture science theme works for now. Lol

I got a little backing plate for my screen and a slide out drawer to go next to it done today. ( oh and a cover for the beeper that was supposedly supposed to make it quieter but it didn’t. Going to break that thing off hate that noise lol)

I want to print a giant companion cube.

I’ll do a multicolor print soon, so why not a little companion cube for testing?

No issues there. I run a fully printed direct drive hot end attached to linear rails on my printer.

The biggest thing is to get something with good cooling. I would look for hot end kits that have cooling ducts that cool all sides of the print around the nozzle. Ring coolers or at a minimum dual side. That makes a big difference when you start chasing perfect quality.

I plan on doing the my hero dual fan mod

I want to use the silent 12-volt Noctua fans tho.
So I’m trying to figure out the logistics of running two fans off one buck converter or if I need two Buck converters

Should be fine if you want always on. That’s how I’m running mine.

The part cooling fan is usually louder than the extruder anyway. Stay away from setups with 30mm fans too

To run them on same buck converter?

Same with a y splitter of pc cooling fans.

Yeah I’ll be running three Noctua 4010 fans.
One for hot end two for parts coolers.

Skunk, those two part cooling fans are not the same as the 4010 on the front. They duct air straight down and are pretty weak. For part cooling, I recommend the blower type fans

I’m gonna try the hero me as well for cooling

Best thing to do is build an enclosure for noise.

New stepper drivers/board.

For enclosure, ikea lack mod.

I’ve got a BIGTREETECH board coming.
Not in a situation to spend money on an enclosure.
I’m not trying to get the best possible Prints imaginable.
Just trying to get a decent machine that works silently.
Teaching Tech did a video where he replaced both of his fans with the same one I plan to use.
I’ve seen a few reviews that they don’t cool quite as well and that’s why I’m doing dual on the parts cooler.
