Maybe try limit the physical throw of the thumb wheel and see if it still happens?

Yeah that could be possible. I was also thinking of recalibrating his remote but only pushing it 7/8 forward, making the last 1/8 of movement obsolete. Might be worth a try.

That will make the last 1/8 of throw go far beyond the input limit that the esc is expectig and exacerbate the problem.
The software solution would be manually setting that upper limit of the signal HIGHER than the physical remote could output.
I thought vx4 was uart tho⌠you canât configure the input range on uart can you?

Yeah the VX4 pro is UART. It has an internal calibration where you move the thumbwheel to the max and min. Youâre probably right though, doing that might just make it happen earlier in the thumbwheel action if the remote thinks that position is 100%.
Could do, i donât know abything about that remote side calibration though. I think a physical limit on the thumbwheel would be the safest way to test if thatâs even what the actual problem is

What do you think the spare parts situation for this brand will look like in one or two yearsâor three? Will you still be able to get all the axle parts and special bolts? Have you looked into the shipping costs and customs duties that get added on top?
Lol thats why DIY still exists. Very few brands stand the test of time and even if they do, spare parts for older models would be few and far between
Yeah, I almost got the Lynnpower Zephyr Max. But itâs not worth it for Switzerlandâshipping is $750, plus customs duties. Itâs just not worth it, sorry. Iâd end up paying over $3,000. And if I wanted special screws, different bushings, or different motors later on, the ESC would totally screw me over because itâs not a genuine VESC. They wouldnât even sell the board without the battery. Shipping is only that expensive because of the battery.

What kind of tires and gear ratio are you using?
Heâs on 9:43 chain drive with 230mm tires.

Zero Vector Frequency you have ? Test this setting +5 or +10 KHZ more.
Me Vesc is this option 1/2 all time.
