Skid material: SLAPPED ON HAPHAZARDLY

BMS: NOT COOPERATING

This JBD BMS isn’t letting me set the charge switch to ON. Or any other setting for that matter. If I try to change any other parameters, it actually does start charging successfully for a couple seconds, but then shuts it off again. Anyone know what gives?

EDIT: nevermind, got it sorted. Apparently i had to “submit an application” in My Profile > Device Management > Authorize, and wait for it to go through

Bad app, recent update fucked everything up. Try doing the same using overkill solar if you’re on android.

Congrats! This is the craziest diy build i have seen!
Maby you can add some self balancing tech for the fury 2.0 and dress up like an alien

Thanks!!

I sorta do both of those things already  The gyro effect is strong on this one, and I ride in a full moto suit.

How much does this monster weigh?

I don’t have a big enough scale, but I’m guessing 90lbs (40kg)

Known component weights are
-30lbs wheelset
-25lbs battery pack
-15lbs drive unit
Haven’t weighed the chassis, but I’d believe up to 20lbs on it. The higher estimate is probably more accurate once you add in wire and glue and whatnot, everything tends to exceed weight projections

Absolutely killed it again with the design, looks like something straight out of cyberpunk!

Also, never change how you update build threads, this was hilarious to read through

This sprint to get it done before events is epic. Reading over here with apprehension!

Thanks! My life in shambles now but the build is done :+1:

Rode for a couple miles at a limping pace just now because it gets wobbles above 10mph. No clue how this didn’t come up in testing, since I’ve gone twice that speed under gravity power. But yeah, it needs a steering damper BAD.

I’m also going to immobilize the rear footpod for now, since I’m not able to make an unassisted takeoff with it rotating. I thing having both feet for leverage is more important, at least until my skill improves

Waddle of Shame for your viewing pleasure

Other thoughts:
-i tried to power through the wobbles, to see if it became stable again with enough speed and weight on the front. This idea was, in retrospect, dumb
-the freeroll is actually amazingly good, almost as much as a thane board
-i got a lot of low speed practice, but riding below 5mph is still close to impossible
-why the FUCK did i build this so heavy when i live in a 4th floor walkup apartment I SHOULD KNOW BETTER at this point lmao

This thing so badass killer build as always

Those wobbles are scary af

Thanks!

It’s frustrating how low of a speed they start at, but funny enough, the board is still ridable during the wobble. I can balance and steer enough to stay in a straight line, at least.

I’ve been looking at steering dampers tonight, and unfortunately all the units out there on the interwebs are either $50 or $500, and I already know the $50 ones are crap. I got one to test on bikeboard V1, and it had a lot of sticktion that made the board almost unrideable.

Fuck it, we ball. Air ship the sucker straight through my window, we got a long way to go and a short time to get there!
