sure its just the version 0602 with a new hardware file. i will upload it but its just the default bldc (6.02) with some changes to the hardware file.
You’re not complying with the terms of the GPL license under which you obtained the software. Supplying the source code for distributed binaries is not optional.
give the guy a chance to do the right thing, dwight
I hear you, but he already said no.
Well, he said “later” which means “no”. Nearly every person in history that violates the license says “later”. But the license does not say later. It’s also easy and free to do it right now. And it’s not optional.
One can simply choose to not distribute any GPL software if they don’t like the extremely generous license terms. They can still even consume it if they want to, without giving source to anyone. For free.
But when distributing it, you must also distribute the source code if requested. This isn’t optional.
So annoying about it dude. Id refuse now out of spite because of a response like yours.
So you’re ungrateful for the nice things you have. The license terms are not unclear. Free is a really good price. It’s also easy and free to comply with the license. There really isn’t any reason to steal the software.
The dude may not have access to his laptop or something why are you like this what happened to you
He never said no he literally said sure
Then we should wait for him to reply. You keep beating the dead horse.
We should wait and not yell at him and get all pissy lmao he didn’t say no, he didn’t even say later. He said "sure ".
what are you even talking about? It is the same thing and i already uploaded it??
When you distribute a compiled binary file from GPL licensed source code, you need to make the source code available. That’s all. Many ways that can happen, either include with the binary as a .zip or another way, post it on gitlab or github or another service so you can link to it, or burn the source code onto a CD and mail it out. I wouldn’t recommend that last method.
i know that ? Its already a repo on github. As i said yesterday . Sry but it makes no sense to distribute something which has not been tested in the first place … I am happy to share the link as soon as everything has been tested.
Although the only changes are made in this file …
hw_FOC_KING_core.h (7.7 KB)
@jens_overby i got an issue yesterday, i tried to flash my new firmware file with the VESC Tool over USB. Which run normally, but the firmware was not flashed. I have to investigate more but there seams to be a problem here. I was only able to flash it with the STM Link.
That’s usually a sign that there’s no bootloader flashed to the board
there is a bootloader flashed to the board, thats why i am investigating it.
OK. Thanks for the info, and I’m sorry that I’m pretty absent due to work on a diy onewheel.
same here lots of wiring at the moment The 20s Split Pack is completed and working witht the bms (is already charging)
You ever watch the office? He’s Dwight
if you’re sharing the binary to test. just share the link to the code being tested.
