Foam/padded Grip tape

I’ve been looking all over the interwebs but I can not find anywhere that sells padded grip tape by a roll or large sheet to fit a 42” Demonseed deck.

Does anyone know where I might be able go et some?

Most people use padded grip tape only in the feet area. Having foam grip tape over you bolts looks shit, especially with an anti sink plate.

What looks shit to you may not look shit to me.

True, let me rephrase: you may not like the look of the tape sinking in where bolts go.

Yeah I understand completely,

I’m actually planning on doing something different to the tape. I just don’t want shed out the money on dope grip, I’d like to have more so if I mess up I can go agin.

Why wouldn’t you just buy two or three square-cut dope grips and place them right next to one another?

To be honest I just want a roll of it or larger sheets I have more than one build going on.

also, foam griptape does nothing for comfort.

I appreciate that honesty, dude.

Is that true? I’m not doubting you. It just sounds counterintuitive.

I’d have to disagree with you there.

I’m looking for foam grip tape that’s all, comfort is not even the reason as to why I want it.

This is a DIY site is it not? Everyone has different ideas they want realise.

I have dope grip on my board, it is foam grip which has quite a good and comfy feeling imo.
I got mine here: Dope Grip™ – Evolve Skateboards Germany / Central EU

I does, it dampens vibrations.

I know about dope grip, I just want it in bigger sheets so I can customise it better.

I’ve never seen foam grip tape or any grip tape tor that matter on a roll, its mostly sheets.

This is the longest I could find, and its not padded, so yeah. Looks like you have to settle on multiple shorter pieces.

I was toying with the idea of using normal grip tape and buying foam separately and doing it that way.

I just thought there would be some one already selling it as you ha boards like the TRX with large foam grip tape.

I kinda doubt that it would be durable done that way (depends a lot on the glue), but you could try and update us with the results.

I’m saying this from experience, when I rode a board that went from foamy tape to regular grip tape there was no noticible difference

I did my own foam grip on an old Meepo DIY and it worked out great. I bought a foam roll with an adhesive side and layed it first, then the griptape stuck to the foam and worked a treat. I sold it after not a huge amount of use but there seemed to be no issues with it.

Could it be that you’re so heavy that the foam couldn’t present any noticeable resistance? :grimacing:

I’ll take that personally.

I’m not very heavy. I’m not light but not heavy.
