I’ll get the rest of the testers their payment info as soon I’m able to post the identically bodied messages.

The messages are sent 7/10

Mine needed love anyway, the dual flipsky ate shit so that had to come out, and the diebiems is just too damn big so that’s out too.

My only concern now is that ive ordered the makerx dual esc and it apparently doesn’t have a can port so I’m left wondering how i’m going to connect the flexi

Sorry, I made a mistake in the payment info sent to all testers.

Tracking is not available for letters, I had confused it with registered letter

I was planning on sending the boards as a letter, as it was much cheaper compared to sending them as a parcel.
Letters are 8,50€ for EU areas and 12,50 for nonEU areas. Parcels start at 22,90€ for EU areas and 41,00€ for outside EU areas.
The high prices are at part because I’m sending them as an individual and not as a company, which can negotiate a deal with the post office for higher volumes.

If you have already sent the paypal payment with tracking, I’ll refund the tracking part back or if you want to cancel your boards, contact me via the PM threads.

This was a beginner mistake. Sorry, I now know better.

I can pay extra for tracked parcels, how mutch to paypal you?

So here’s the deal on the posting situation.

I had been looking into sending the boards as letters, as the shipping is much cheaper, but I had confused registered letter with tracking. Registered letter means I get a confirmation when it was delivered and it will only be given to the recipient against an ID.

The letters don’t have tracking when sent abroad from the local post office, so if they get lost along the way, it’s game over, or it’ll be much less likely they will be recovered/found at least.

I currently have a situation with my US contact that I’m developing FlexiBMS HV with. They asked me yesterday, if I had sent the boards to him. I sent them three weeks ago, now this gave me a slight panic moment about them being lost on the way, as the estimated shipping time on the post’s website gave the letter an “estimated” shipping time of 4-7 workdays. I brought this up with my team leader at work and he mentioned that he once had a letter sent to the States on December take 6 weeks to be delivered. So the letter could still be on it’s way, or it might have gotten lost… It’s essentially in Limbo. I at this point still don’t have enough experience in international shipping to have any sort of realistic shipping time estimation for letters or parcels.

You get tracking if I send the boards as a parcel, in fact @mackann is currently the only with their boards on their way, as he immediately asked how much more for a parcel with tracking and sent the difference. I shipped the parcel the same day.

Sending as a parcel inside the EU-zone is not too bad, ~21€, but it will double to ~42€ for outside EU areas, in this case for Brazil, US and Australia (I don’t think UK managed to separate yet)

If you’re paying on paypal as Goods&Services I sort of have to send the boards as a parcel, as I need to be able to prove that the parcel has been delivered and not been lost in case of a delivery dispute on paypal, not that I feel that anyone of the tester group would try to fraudulently dispute the package delivery to get their money back, but looking at it rather as a business plan in the future if/when I start shipping more items around the world, it’s pretty much the only way to cover my bottom.

So in summary:
If you’re paying via Goods&Services, I will have to send it as a parcel, as it has tracking so I can prove delivery. +You can track where the parcel is yourself.

If you’re paying as Family&Friends then you can choose between letter or a parcel and save the paypal fee on the Goods&Services. If you choose letter I CAN’T guarantee delivery, as even the post office can’t tell where the letter is currently. It will just one day arrive, or not. Don’t know from experience how often letters really get lost, or what the realistic delivery times are.

I hope that is enough information for you guys to make an informed choice between your shipping and payment options.

EDIT: I’m paying for the extra needed to get the items sent as parcels for @hexakopter, @Pedrodemio and @glyphiks as a sign of goodwill. They had already made their paypal payments before I had realized my mistake.

You are a gentleman Simo, and you have done so much work to get this done already, hit me up and let me know how much more it is for the parcel, no need for you to cover the postage cost bro :call_me_hand:

I went hunting for treasure…

And I came back with a Cannon.

Not having a printer was pain in the arse.

The same for me, will pay the difference, no worries

The letter arrived to my US contact! It was sent on 17th of October, so it took a little bit over 3 weeks to arrive.

We have a post employee strike starting next week.
“The strike will start on Monday 11.11 and end on Sunday 24.11” AKA two weeks
“This will mostly affect outside EU shipments, as most of EU shipments are delivered via ground.”

Below is a link to the Post office announcement, if you want to google translate it.

I will post all the letters and packages when I can, but they may be stuck in the post office for quite some time.

Anyone got any feedback/thoughts on this battery pack wiring guide that I made?

Looks good, I would just add at the beginning or maybe in every page, big and in in red that the first wire of the balance connector always go to the negative of the cells, not between cell 1 and 2, there are some BMSs that doesn’t require the first one

Maybe you can also add the CAN, Charge and UART (right?) ports to the diagram?

Beautiful :ok_hand:

This was meant to be just the battery pack side wiring diagram.
