Evolve GTR moist expert

Like topic title says. Anyone change cells in the evolve GTR yet? Evolve says my battery needs to be replaced. For moisture.

Edit: guess time to just take the pack out and have someone build me a new one. Might be a wash though for a oem one.

If you search abit you’ll see that some make a living of swaping out crappy evolve cells.

no on the gtr. they have the soldered pcb battery. The evolve gt series are the ones with the shit batteries (the gtr series battery are alright)

I don’t see the point? The 35E is perfectly suited to the GTR.

Hot tip: don’t water your batteries. They’re not plants.

If you’re going somewhere and it starts raining, sometimes shit happens.

Or you find yourself coming upon a stream of water across the street because someone just washed their car 2 minutes ago… or garbage water leaking from a dumpster… or an eagle pees on your deck… any number of things can go wrong

I actually have an older Evolve and some other DIYs that are not waterproof and even on a hot sunny day, somehow occasionally moisture finds a way to get right on your skate. It’s uncanny

I’ve also been filling my motor stators recently with oil, and it will slowly seep out through the bearings…my thoughts are it will prolong the motor bearing failure due to brine and moisture
