Evolve 6" tires?

it might be worth a try, but this would quickly lead to needing new pulleys and belts also, i dont think i wanna cope with that for now- ill just write it off as a fail and keep using the 6" in their regular form

I’ll do that when I can afford wider hubs then. No sweat. 165mm is what I’m running now, so to get that on a wider hub would be awesome.

yea im a bit in a dilemma, i really dont want taller wheels, just wider - and i think for that the trampa hub in itself is allready a bad choice

like i said ill just keep using them as they are now, and enjoy the fact that i can atleast slap gummies on without any change of the setup

Thats a real bummer  Hope you can find some setup to make it work in the future, maybe trampa urban threads would work, but no real way to find out without buying them…

I have Urban Treads right now, but no hub spacers. :smirk:

I printed them for @olsyke, can print some for you too but I think shipping kills it lol. Maybe ask @glyphiks , if he prints them, just has to make sure not to put the infill on 100% because then you get wall seperation.

I can’t print at the moment :sob: my printer fucked up before christmas and i still havent fixed it

What’s ideal for infill? I’ve got a friend that has a 3D printer. Thinking of printing these in either CarbonX or Alloy 910.

@olsyke Evolve 7" tires fit on 60mm hubs and this is how it looks

But it is a real pain to remove them that’s why I won’t use them on these hubs.

If you want to see if the tires fit on your hubs you can have my used 7" tire(s).

Good to hear! I dont fully recall but I think i used 3-4 perimeters and 80% infill. If you use 100% infill the walls will not fully merge on some parts of the geometry. Just make sure there is some space for infill between opposing walls to fix the issue.

that looks quite nice indeed, maybe i have to take you up on that offer!

it doesnt seem like the tires lost any of their diameter while being stretched on a wider hub, is that correct ?

What diameter is the tire at now?

As you say it yes they look same diameter which is strange, for example a 8" tire (195mm) is on this hub 190mm.

@DEEIF I didn’t measure it when I tested it :man_shrugging:

Did you use tire paste to seat them?

Looking forward to the results @olsyke!

For science!:

TB AT 160 x 50 pumped to 10psi… NO HUB… (I got askeered to go higher) 50mm wide 145mm dia. (Right)

Stock TB mounted on Kaly hub left pumped to 50psi. 50mm wide x 160mm dia.

Hold my beer

So much science… I like.

What’s the pressure rating?

50psi is the sidewall rating

Awesome how it flattened out.

I “think” another 10mm wide I can get the tire down to like 140mm dia…
