Everything that makes your ride safe

I crashed because some guy drove into me with his board and my board went up like one of those formula one crashes where wheels touch.
I landed on my hands and helmet, the hands wearing flatlands were fine, only the fingers had some scratches.

Ive crashed much without knox and more with. Hurt/broke stuff without, nothing with.
This is between flatland pro/xbaord v2/knox orsa.
Flatland work well but I prefer the other 2

I’ve never had major issues besides some minor fingertip scrapes. I also usually wear some thin full finger running gloves underneath and they tend to help protect my fingertips a bit.

@andoug I’ll send a pic of what my plastic pucks look like later, they’re so scraped up. They’ve definitely saved me from a lot of palm scratches. The first time I ever crashed on an esk8, I tore open my hands. Hasn’t happened ever since because I got the Flatlands soon after.

It’s probably worth mentioning that I just recently got my first pair of kneepads, so instead of sliding out my falls, it’s been more of a throw a hand down and roll it out… if that makes sense

Just bought these TSG Force Vs

Had some DHPs but they were way too bulky for my tastes. Are the Force Vs still solid? Reviews seem good

Ever consider making a size xs for those of us that don’t have large hands? Maybe even have it cover all the fingers and the thumb just for the xs version. no one makes gloves that fit my hands properly. Even different glove types/ purposes all do not fit my hands right. :sob:

Hi
I have a size s coming
But not xs
I can do a custom one
But you will need to be patient :sunglasses:

Finally took everyone’s advice and ordered those Leatt Dual Axis Kneepads. I had TSG DHPs, which were way too bulky for my tastes, then I moved onto TSG Force Vs, also way too bulky…

Hoping these are a nice compromise, I’ve seen a bunch of people wearing them and it doesn’t seem like they bulge toooo much.

$70 used with minor cosmetic wear?? Sign me up

I have a pair and really like them, it takes like 10 seconds to put them on, and they hardly feel like wearing anything. They are very protective but after falling once in them, they definitely look like if I were to fall again they would be done, the straps are not abrasion resistant at all, I guess that’s the sacrifice for comfort.

I did too.
And then I moved on to Leatt dual axis and they are big but don’t feel like it to me.
Super nice to put on and take off…

They definitely stay on better than any other knee pad I tried.

I did this hole modification out of the box on @monsterbuilder recommendation.

My only complaint with them is that the shin/calf area doesn’t feel sized well. I’m an average build and the largest size with the biggest loop possible is still a bit too tight, and the tight curvature at the bottom of the shin plate starts to dig into my shins on both sides. Aside from that everything above it is really comfortable. No more sweaty kneecaps!

Yeah, I am skinny and have the other 2 straps as tight as they can go and it still feels loose but the calf one is as loose as it can go and it’s fine

As a man with magnificent thunder thighs this is a bit concerning to hear

I ordered the lg/xl version, and my measurements are right around the top end of the sizing chart… hope it works out!

Yeah all my straps are pretty much as loose as possible right now and the L/XL just barely fits, although I do wear them over relatively thick pants which adds a bit. That being said, if it’s anything like my old pads the elastic will stretch out over time, so I’d rather have it be slightly too tight now than not have any room to cinch it up in the future.
