Not sure if it’s useful but there are several products made for lap tracking FPV drone racing. They don’t use a gps normally just infrared or rfid or searching for video signals (which isn’t ideal here)
They should be mostly cheap per additional racer for if people aren’t bringing their own racebox or anything and reasonably precise being made for drones moving at 200+ on a tiny track.
I don’t know a lot about them but a couple options are listed and the main types explained here https://www.getfpv.com/learn/fpv-essentials/lap-timing-for-fpv-drone-racing/
For some reason we had a less luck even with professional time management. But they usually used some radio based transponders there for some reason had issues with our electric motors, especially the high powered ones. The other problem was getting out data in the way we wanted. Thats why we eventually ended up with our own solution, it was definitelly not planned.
What I was interested about the Dragy ecosystem is if the lap times are somehow realtime delivered or you need to confirm. I definitelly like the idea of shared list even though not everyone is in favor of shared telemetry

Btw just realized we dont have any group photo of ALL the racers at esk8con, showing the scale of the competition. We should definitelly try to do that next year, possibly before or after podiums
