Team Europe is in full preparation mode We have been practicing and upgrading hard since last esk8con so we should be coming in the strongest form yet in Pro. I think all of us are really excited to see where we come up. Personally after observing the races around the world last year I hope we could actually see a much tighter finals, guessing around 8-10 riders in really close competition and maybe wider podium fight. Still hoping for that kart style rider train for multiple laps where any mistake costs fortune.
Mboards Updates:
-all P42A pack configs now available in Samsung 50S
-looking to design their own gear drive; running into issues to have 2-in-1 gear drive system
Shipping boards for Esk8con
-Mboards NOT accepting boards on behalf of folks this year
-recommended solution is ship to UPS, Fedex or hotel. Mention of fees associated with hotel, such as Golden Nugget
-additional notes for shipping: print return label ahead and all necessary materials to ship back in box (packing tape, etc.)
-mentioned packing method: box inside a box (guitar box) or large, long pelican case
Group rides to be revealed/mentioned next podcast (Ep 94).
Big track this year!!
290 ft straight is crazy, we’re going to be hitting 50+mph.
I love that the intestines are returning
Going to be a test of board setup skill to be stable on the straights while still being able to make those hairpins
Fast track this year! Set up at i2s SD last night, I was hitting 45mph on the straights, and I wasn’t really trying to push. You can see I let off the throttle on the straights and was going easy in the braking zones
When I check the original layout, I think you are kinda missing the backturn to the main straight or it doesnt do much. I feel the final speed really depends a lot on how turny will be the entrance to the main straight.
