I had a conversation about this with since I’m the same way him and it boiled down to:
1: The forum isn’t the majority and doesn’t represent the community and “the vast majority is happy with the change” no we won’t get a bigger venue.
2: if you absolutely need an exception we might be able to do some qualifying runs Saturday morning but no promises
3: the cost wasn’t something he really addressed when I talked to him he said most people are happy which I don’t entirely believe. It’s Literally doubling my cost of attending

Ultimately it’s their event, and I’m in no means trying to complain, just being mindful of some concerns. It’s also impossible to make everyone happy so I understand.

It’s kinda true. The forms here look to be a smaller representation of the community, but a core part none the less. There was a bunch of open space that didn’t get used much this year. Will have to see for next year.

If there’s a legitimate reason I don’t have any issues with this. Still, would have loved the Friday evening for track practice before qualifiers.

It doesn’t double my cost, but pretty close (could almost buy another mach 1). I imagine it’s as costly for other international racers as well.

I think the venue will work even with a significant increase in numbers. There was plenty of space last year but it was not used very efficiently.

Rooms in Vegas seem cheap compared to Aus at least. Double rooms at the nugget are cheaper than someone’s broom cupboard on air bnb here.
