Thatās actually really interestingā¦ I wonder how those would work on a board, especially a high quality one like yours
Iāll ping this thread again if I get any more ideas/actually make one of ghese
We see this design before. For skateboard it have many problems to make smaller.
We have new esc coming next year which can be using for race. It have single pcb for all part so is easy to make reliable.
For motor design we have some design we can making which can keeping small but having many power. This use special magnet and winding to produce many power torque for same size motor by other way.
Iām looking forward to when these Vulkanik builds come together. Gonna have to bother Wingy for a test drive
I told Wingā¦
your battery box is too big, the wheels donāt touch the ground Happy Thanksgiving
Interesting concept, thatās literally a radial/axial motor right there. With one weak point : no axial laminations. Lot of wasted potential if you donāt add thin steel laminations for the magnetic flux.
Iām working on a simpler version for my 50mm motors, with axial laminations. Would love to have the fancy curved magnets, but thatās unobtainium and also cannot make the magnetic shaft anyway.
Wish I had a factory
Yup, but with heavy duty motorcycle ones. If that didnāt work then 6 neodymium magnets on every side of the little panel.
Ps - The panel holds no weight as everything would be mounted to the deck with velcroā¦
For all the east coast people Im working on putting some races together if you are all interested.
Yeah buddy!
Where will these east coast races take place?
Depends, Iām connecting with people in more esk8 populated places to plan them out, but not many people seem interested claiming racing is too dangerous.
I live in Hershey which is out of the way for most sadly, but we have plenty of areas for putting races together.
Im down in south Florida, Miami/tampa has a pretty big group of riders. If you want someone to work with down here, I might be interested in helping
I would even be down to host a chill weekend group ride/meet up.
I have a BMX park near me that is super fun for offroading and lots of trails and parks that all boards can handle. I feel bad hosting an āeventā that isnāt fully sponsored though.
That being said, if east coasters (and others willing to travel) are down, my house is open to you goons.
@soflo you have to bring your Heeler though
Cincinnati / Dayton area
Thatās a pretty good ride!!! I know the heeler is up for a road trip!
I know @Itsmedant as well as I wants to get the east coast people together for some riding. Mabye we can do some test races if we ever get around to it.
Iām down for this!!
