Epilepsy E-Bike Build

Hi guys,

As some of you know in the last years I have been experiencing some weird mental issues, I have asked for advice in the private lounge:

For those that remember I had some issues some time ago. Since then i have been ok and thought I was “healed”

For those who don’t know:
I am a security consultant in a psychiatric hospital, I take care of the cameras, intruder/fire alarms and electronic doorlocks on isolation units.

Recently my issue has returned but worse.
The problem is I really don’t have the feeling my job is having a big toll on me. The thing I’m talking about only happens when I’m doing something relaxed, never in a stressfull emergency situation.

What happens:
My eyes lock up, become basically blind. Impulses become too much, almost can’t talk or listen anymore. Body goes into full sweat mode and I start smelling super strong smells that I don’t recognize.

Then after around 10min max it goes away like nothing happened.

Mostly just fucks with my self-confidence.

When I posted this I didn’t really know what was going on. Untill on 22th of June I woke up in the hospital after driving into a tree apparently, I don’t remember any of it.
The doctors officially declared I have epilepsy because I almost bit my tongue off and they can apparently see that I had a seizure in my blood levels.
I have been banned from driving cars from 1 year, if I have another seizure, the ban resets…

Riding eskate is pretty scary now, as I can’t trust my own mind anymore… so I just decided to build another, more decent, ebike.

This is a “synergy Crossfold” they are still sold new for 1700 euros I was able to pick this one up for 200 euros, with a scary battery.

20Ah 10s4p 18650 pack? Not possible lol, could contain sand cells. Luckily the built in KT-LCD1 speed controller could handle 30-48V so I could just slap an MTB battery on it.

I guess this thread is not really about this built, because I didn’t do anything but slap a 12s eskate battery(from my MTB build) on it, it already had a throttle. + I 3d printed a bracket for the battery indicator on the steering wheel.

I would really prefer to ride my boards, but it has just become irresponsible at this point…

Hopefully just a fleeting instance and your brain successfully reset itself.

I like the compact bikes a lot! How are they to ride compared to a standard bike?
