I thought they are mr60

Nicely done but if that was hardened steel then now it will rust easier. I advice to cold blue the expose last 30mm. Better would be with heat but do it twice on the same metal make it weaker and moreover they are connected to the motor. Only cold blueing should help already.

I guess they are not the genuine mr30 connectors, but they fit the same. So maybe the ratings on these knock-offs are even worse, who knows. 15A per motor might be enough for some (with 30A bursts), especially if you want to max your range. Maybe I try them.

Well, even TB has made people sand their axles. It’s a $300 product and it’s an early batch of the new model. So even if it’s a bit disappointing now, it’s worth it for consumers to have a set of cheap and powerful direct drives in the long run. Seems like they are listening, and that’s a good thing.

As builders we are at a much better position to resolve problems and help create a much better product for the community.

Not everyone has a deep pockets for boards like bajaboards.

Not saying I don’t want a buy a set, just feel a little rushed to market.

And my esk8 budget have zeo to do with these lacking quality.

#jelous

I promptly reduced the length of the phase wires and attached mr60 to it. I had gotten a mr30 connector with my drives.

You can wait forever to create a perfect product or you can resolve issues as they come up. All while taking care of the customers. The later seems to be the trend with startups all over the world. Be it software or industry. Take Tesla for example. There’s even a famous book on this topic.

Keep in mind that it’s just a shallow protection but I have used for the MAD Storm and it’s still there.

sounds good

Yeah, those connectors look funny. I thought these would be MR60, not MR30. I didn’t have any MR30 on hand but I did have MT30, which are a pretty good fit with for the tiny phase wires and still big enough for using 12AWG at the VESC side.

So it looks like these motors are a different size. The adapters printed off thingiverse do not line up with the screw holes for my set of drives :face_with_monocle::worried:

I have the file you need, I designed it yesterday to fit @Tonkatron motors. hang on I’ll upload it to thingiverse.

What do you think your motor type is so I can write the correct description?

My motors are the ones with the removable sleeves. I don’t know what size it’s hard to tell unless I take it all apart

Try this, this is for @tonkatron DD’s

incidentially, if there is interest and these fit I was considering doing a run of CnC’d aluminium ones.

The wheels I have are clones. Any idea if they will fit too?
