Nice turning radius, dood.
lmao hahahaha
YOU HAVE BUILT A REALLY COOL BOARD, THOUGH!
Itās not obvious but there have been a lot of improvement on the frame itself , shortened, finetunedā¦and on the RTC (smoother, adjustableā¦almost).
Sadly, my remote seems to have a problem (throttle has no effect on motor although all leds (esc, receiver) are ok. (I tested the motors with vesctools and they run wo problem)ā¦
At worst, I will order a new one and work on the deck it self, pads, hooks, strapsā¦
Itās looking so clean. I canāt wait to see it after you declare it finished.
Awesome to see this improving step by step, great job
Thanks for your comments.
I hope to get it āfinishedā enough soon to make some videos about the riding tests showing the main board capabilities, maniability, stability, (light) offroad, carving, having FUN with itā¦
For the time being, as there is no nylstop nuts nor locktite (Iām already getting nuts each time I have to dismantle/reassemble that I donāt need it), so everything get loose after few hundreds metersā¦
Once I have fixed the last problem (the remote) and test it a bit, I will secure everything and begin real riding⦠hopefully!
But declaring it finished, finished,ā¦makes me feel like dead
I appreciate that you appreciate the step by step processā¦
Even though thatās mainly the result of lack of industrial resources (Iām in France, help!!), thatās also the fear of missing potentially interesting options/solutions due to going to fast, making choices/decisions to quicklyā¦
On one hand, Iām kicking my a**, seeing time going by (one year on an hypothetical E-board project) but I also stick to basics : donāt panic, keep progressing!
As for many of you, the 2nd part of 2020 was more complicated than expected and I haveānt been really active on the forum lately.
Between lockdown and bad weather (40 cm of rain in december here), it was not easy to test/develop a protoā¦
However, there has been some progress to transform a proto into a board/productā¦
I wish that 2021will be a bit more quiet and that we will have time again to talk about silly things like boards.
Would you make your design Boardnamics gear drive compatible if I sent you a cad file?
Thanks fo your answer. Yes, the design is compatible with all kind of transmission.
To be fully honest, I have tried to integreate inner gear transmission but now I prefer to concentrate on what I know (a bit), board design.
should delete the words and put them here.
Sorry, I forgot the āno wordā title during an instantā¦
Slowly progressing, step by step, with unexpected problems between small steps but still full of hopeā¦
Do u plan to add suspension to these in future?
Your truck arm design speaks to me for the reason suspension could be achieved in one way or another perhapsā¦
Though, I think @NoWind monster board has achieved it best, where suspension is in the middle and dosnt raise the board much higher as well.
Just not sure how hard it is to make his edition vs fitting 4 springs on each arm, like it might be possible with truck arm designā¦
Just thinking openly, would love to see some āopen sourceā - easy to do - suspension eboard designs in future
The suspension is already integrated (once we agree about the meaning of suspensionā¦)
Considering the deck height/bottom clearance, we are only talking about 1 to 2 cm stroke to protect the board from peak load, keep the wheels in contact with the ground and filtrate vibrations for our feetā¦
The board is not anymore 100% handmade, thanks to the new waterjet cut partsā¦but there is still a lot of handycraft.
I kept the "old"inner gear tansmission while waiting for others gears.
Iām sure this has been discussed, but does this type of truck/suspension have any kind of return-to-center like a normal skate truck has?
No, it hasnāt been discussed.
And yes, it has a natural return-to-center that is adjustable (tight/loose) on each side (heel/toes) independantly.
However, this design of board doesnāt need to be tightened to be stable.
