The front truck is on backwards actually. Maybe I should have engraved a arrow at the bottom.
(Are those screws temporary? I think you want socket/round head screws unless you’re adding countersunk washer/brace)
Haha yeah definitely temporary, just mocking it up for now. I imagine through the course of this build there’s gonna be quite a lot of put it together/take it apart/add or remove something/put it back together ![]()
I flipped the front trucks around to the right way (arrows pointing in to center of board - as per your photo).
Swapped a blue for red bushing on the rear, so running red/red at full pressure.
Blue/blue full pressure on the front.
Turning is still fantastic, can really crank it into a tight 180 as needed.
Still feels like a slack-line over 20mph. Really twitchy/floaty.
(ie, flipping the front truck made almost no perciviable difference)
Should I add the wedge to the front to take out steering at speed? Or the rear? I feel like its got too much turn at speed.
No speed wobbles, just slack-line jitters.
Did early production number trucks not have these arrows?
I thought i followed the arrows but i didn’t… i looked at @SirVesa photo of the bluealities and saw this bolt was facing forward, so that’s how i installed the front..
You caught it before I did. Didn’t notice they were on backwards until we finished the build
. Luckily no loctite yet but we spent the next evening reworking it. Second set of pictures we had it set up right.

It seems our baseplates are facing the same way (mine is backwards) but our hangers are flipped in opposite directions?
I can see the confusion with the arrows on the queenpin now. They’re only meant to indicate where the flat spot is on the queenpin in order to more easily line up with the setscrew. They are not meant to indicate baseplate direction.
Reference this photo. See arrow pointing towards front. See extended 5 degree baseplate in the front extending the wheelbase. See both hangers with axle end towards the rear. (Front hanger is that direction to maximize ground clearance. Rear hanger is that direction to maximize motor clearance)

Flipping the front truck the correct way around has decreased the wheelbase significantly. Is there any issue with flipping the hanger for a longer wheelbase?
I realise it will lower the ride height, but any other gotchas?
I’m not opposed to risers/extension plates, but as it is now i feel like i’ll potentially get deck/wheel bite with 10 inch tires

That 15 degree baseplate is for the rear. This is correct orientation IF this is rear of deck.
You need to flip the 5 degree baseplate
