Duality Trucks by Tito Systems

So on the front truck looks like the set screw to free up the kingpin is on the bottom. Can you get to that too? Or do you have to take the baseplate off?

I put some small dabs of super lube grade 2 silicone based grease, nothing petroleum based just to be safe, just a small coating of grease around the pivots on the hanger, takes out any squeak and seems to last basically forever even in the face of some moisture like the occasional puddle

I’m a big fan of graphite powder.
Inexpensive, lasts a long time, and doesn’t attract dirt (like wet lubricants do).

That is what Brad had recommended for the regular bushings on trucks. I wonder if it is also the ideal thing for the little bushings pivot cup things

I do have super lube and various other silicone lubes and graphite powder

Jeez dude.

I figured out a way to make a bushing change take 4 times as long as needed.

First you put the rear bushings on the front truck.

After undoing the front truck you put the other two together.

After putting them together you realize the hangers are on backwards.

So you redo both

Easy peasy..

Paying attention is hard ..

First ride up the block with APS was wild…

Gonna take some getting used to…

Swapping to a lower durometer and switching from chubby to fatcone makes a huge difference. You could do split duro if full swap is to much.

I put the harder Duro on the street side today.

That was a good move.

I am definitely stoked the APS makes this board seem so much more playful.

Hey Tito, for a flat Pair version of the Dualities would the trucks be applicable to be mounted via the top of the deck? or would that inhibit articulation?

if they are able to mount via top mount, what would be the max deck thickness they could accommodate before it started to prevent articulation?

I see what you’re doing here.

And if you do end up asking for custom duality baseplates, I’ll join ya for a set.

For sure I will keep you updated, also would be glad to talk to ya at carve PDX @jack.luis

“Top mount” is generally understood as the deck being mounted on ‘top’ of the trucks.

if i’m understanding correctly, you are looking to “drop through” mount, dropping the deck through the baseplate and having the top of the baseplate on top of the deck..

Don’t like to be a grammar nazi, but using completely incorrect terms gets confusing for everybody.

yes sir, “drop through” is the term that would be more widely understood. thanks for clarifying what I was trying to convey.

You want to do this! And this is just one example.

Just a little file work will modify a drop through deck to work with dualities - it’s only off by a few mm - BUT it’s not leaving much extra sonif the drop through slot is also loose and deck on the thinner side it will compromise the strength without some kinda reinforcements. As far as geometry, the low angle of dualities makes any deck with an aggressive double drop run into clearance issues on turns but flat or mildly dropped (10-15mm ish) seem to work well. Wheel bite seems good but making custom lean stoppers to tune the lean might be something to experiment with.

I can confirm that Tito has produced Duality baseplates spec’ed for drop-through style builds.@tuckjohn was the one who I saw get his hands on it for one of his builds

Still haven’t actually drop mounted em. Too many projects!
