Duality Trucks by Tito Systems

I think it wouldn’t be ideal since I have that pocket and where those holes would be are the main structural components

Last day for the sale for cyber Monday

Thanks, that’s what I was worried about & the pocket area itself seemed too thin to put a stress-taking hole in.

I’ll try running the motors (they’re big 63100 ones) without a crossbar and see how the mounts hold up, I’ve just been putting crossbars on all my drivetrains that had holes available as a precaution.

Can you use the skid plate/bumper holes to attach a supporting cross member? I was looking into making a u shaped plate for mine though i haven’t done more than just start thinking about it.

@Titoxd1000 are there models or dimensional drawings you’d be willing to share of the hole spacing or the bumpers? I just jumped on the z1 bandwagon and am currently going overboard modeling everything i want to try fabricating that’s always been financially unviable lol. Biting off more than i can chew but it’s so much fun when disconnected from reality

I can totally just gather dimensions btw, nothing needed just lazy

Ha, yeah I was thinking of doing the same thing when I have time - using the bumpers on there already as a hole template and making a set of aluminum plates to extend out a bit from the back to clear the motors for a crossbar/brace

I would put the braces in the pocket area.

Thanks for the illustration! I was initially picturing possibly putting a single m8 support rod through where you have the outer dot (away from the clamp) - a rod at the inner position would foul the hanger/baseplate I’m working with.

The material is about 4mm thick there so seemed like it might be too thin, be a cracking risk - maybe not?

Really should not see much force I don’t think…

Yeah you probably could figure out a way to mount up some carbon rods that way. Would be a good option, I was thinking of doing that but just ended up making different mounts.

I change designs frequently so I would do a test print to confirm fit before modeling anything. Not sure which mount you have.

Motor plate short 58-73 bashguard.step (61.0 KB)

Motor plate long 85-100 bashguard.step (59.0 KB)

it was close but not quite right but did set me in the right direction though. thanks!

are the lean stoppers all standard? i need to replace one i broke if they are and you have a model otherwise its not hard to cad up

Mine broke also and he pointed me to the file here.

@Titoxd1000 weird question here. Has anyone tried mounting duality trucks upside down on a deck?

Like, literally running the trucks flipped on top of the board, so that the deck is ultra low to the ground. I’m sure you’d need a 9” or 10” tire to avoid scraping the ground.

It’s an idea I’ve been noodling for a bit and I think it could be a lot of fun with a top mount battery.

Curious if it has been tried yet?

Wouldn’t it turn the wrong way when you lean?

Skill issue

Maybe in AUSTRALIA buddy but here in ‘murica they’ll turn LIKE THE CURVE ON AN EAGLE’S BEAK!

Don’t think it’s been tried, but it’s a neat idea. Don’t see any reason it wouldn’t work🤔

You would also rotate the truck 180 degrees so that it leans the correct way for turning.

Gotta rotate those trucks 180, but yeah exactly like this

Wheelbite may end up being a problem, given that the trucks would be rotated with the axle closer to the deck.

But why?
