@stan_he Thanks man, I’ll get those shipped out Friday at the latest.
I finished “nothing fancy”! build thread coming soon.
Within 10 minutes, I was already at home
Incredible work Tito
How do these trucks compare vs hypertrucks, if you dont mind me asking?
They don’t, I’ve had like 10 seconds on them and they are completely different. So much more lean and maneuverability
My build is nearly complete too. Need to fix the clearance on the rear hanger tho. This is with an air hanger. The duality trucks measure 22mm and my Boardnamics adapters are like 21.9
This ^
That’s unfortunate, the two sets of boardnamic adapters I have tried fit. On @Dinnye build they fit with a light press fit. On @fessyfoo build one was press fit on and the other was slip fit.
@tuckjohn How was the overall fit with the jump drives?
I just installed jump drives on mine, the clamp is a perfect fit. Idk if this info helps anyone
zero issues, slid right on. If anything it was a bit loose? But wasn’t an issue once the screws were tightened down.
Got my set the other day and setting them up. Matrix 3 mounts (from Radium) fit great! Really beautiful trucks, can’t wait to finish the haero build and get pics to y’all!
On a separate topic, any chance anyone knows how many spacers/length of spacer to use for MBS Rockstar Pro 2s, or where to source them? Having more trouble with bearings, spacers and wheels than I expected (yes skill issue, it’s my first MTB build, plz)
I’m gonna try again this week and see if it just takes some force. I didn’t want to damage them and it was late at night so I didn’t try super hard. I think using the axle nut to pull it on would work but that’s always risky
MBS sell the spacers here:
So a lot more agile, how about stability?
Rock solid, there’s zero slop in them.
That said, it’s hard to compare to hyper trucks, the “instability” is kinda a different kind of instability.
Hypertrucks like to stiffen up so aggressively at the edges of travel, giving them only a small amount of travel.
That stiffening doesn’t exist on Tito’s duality trucks. Someone could make definitely make the case that this makes duality trucks more unstable. However, IMO this controlability makes them more stable, because I can more easily correct for disturbances in the road (etc) without worrying about my board fighting back against me.
Ugh this is getting me so excited to get rocinante rebuilt with these trucks. The frit job is getting picked up from @alankerr on Sunday
This video I posted above demonstrates this pretty well (this was before I tuned/tightened the bushings)
These are gonna be so fun
Nice bro!
Here are the riser and wedge files for 3d printing. Feel free to let me know if you want to see any other variation.
Riser 10mm.stl (70.6 KB)
Wedge 5 degree.stl (63.2 KB)
Check out this awesome, very detailed build thread by @tuckjohn if you haven’t already
Here is some drone footage from a couple of weeks ago of Tucker riding one my test boards.
