I did a mockup of what a 60mm drop could look like.

The baseplate bottom is 80x54mm. The axle height for the offset hanger is 60mm while the centerset hanger is 50mm height. Rear hanger is 50mm axle height, so centerset front seems like better option. MTB baseplates could work also

That’s a very clever design with the supports going from top to bottom I like it. You could make it a little longer and give it some extra mounting holes do people can adjust wheelbase.

Would it end up about the same as using the angled brackets from Idea and your trucks for angled decks.

Possible to integrate the baseplate into the bracket?

Thinking out loud, If you did this @Titoxd1000, you could also flip the removable pivot tube thing to the other side, which would allow you to reduce the amount of wheelbase extension.

Different amount of scope tho

I love that design!

If we’re trying to get the standing platform on the same level as the axle height, it would have to be substantially longer. The wheelbase would be longer which might be good if you’re running 8 inch tires. It also may put to much leverage on the deck mounting area.

I picture something like this for MTB baseplate to get the ride height low but still have the shorter wheelbase.

I mean it’s possible but would increase price substantially.. A plus for brackets would be that they’re are adjustable with wedges or risers. It would also allow you to switch to a different bracket to alter axle location or a new deck all together which is a good option to have.

Make the steep portion of the bracket 1cm longer. The drop will be deeper and the increase in length is minimal. Overall the bracket could be longer with multiple mounting holes so the use can choose the wheelbase length.

since it’s custom ordered send cut send. a parameterized model would be cool.

tho I only know of openscad hosted by thingiverse making that super easy to run for the general public.

but maybe there’s something out there for publishign parameterized models from other cad without the end user needing the cad software?

Onshape might work for that.

Fusion has a file type that captures design history. Though this design is not the most parametric because the reinforcement plates. This particular design would also need to be welded so wouldn’t get a finished product directly from sendcutsend… It seems like they only bend up to .25” which is a bit thin for no reinforcement, maybe double up plates could also work?

It could be made fully parametric in fusion with enough time and effort. Even with the welded parts

Okay so I am probably going to be ordering a set soon and I was wondering which type I should buy.

I have a RE 44 deck with Linn power/meepo tubeless on hubba hubs and BN270 trucks (a 10mm riser in the front and 25mm in the back, both metal). My current setup is great most of the time but if i go into a particularly deep carve I can sometimes get wheelbite. This height is also about the bare minimum for where I ride.

My question is, which set of flat deck versions will give me the longest wheelbase. I am just trying to minimize wheelbite. Will this version require that I use more risers than I already am?

Others may not know the height of the bn270s

a more useful measurement to give would be the distance from underside of your deck to center of axle maybe?

I believe its about 60mm from axle to bottom of the deck.

My main question was asking which option (centerset or offset) will give me the longest wheel base though.

Standard offset hangers flipped outwards should net you the most wheelbase

To minimize wheelbase on Dualities, make sure your hangers are inverted, so the flat of the hanger is facing inwards

That’s the only option to reduce wheelbase on the trucks, short of just using a shorter deck. All the standard offset hangers can be flipped to reduce wheelbase, but it’ll also increase ride height

I am trying to maximize it, not minimize it

Flip the hangers facing out and you’ll maximize wheelbase. Just know it comes with lower ride height and less clearance between the baseplate and the ground. You’ll need to rely on wheel size for clearance.
