Drop-down Deck recommendation

I’m building my fir Non-MTB esk8, longboard/cruiser type thing. Although I got 105mm Cloud Wheels, so this will probably handle grassy fields pretty well all the same.

Now I need a deck… I really like the drop-down decks, but struggling to find a blank deck that looks decent and like it won’t chomp at my wheels as I turn.

I like the style of this Atom deck, but I don’t think it’s the one, and can’t buy it as a blank either.

Was planning to DIY an enclosure, so that isn’t much of an issue, but ground clearance is!

This is a cheap and cheerful fun build, so not looking to break the bank, just something better than my current deck scrounging has turned up.

Any deck suggestions welcomed, I am in the UK, but shouldn’t be a problem shipping blank decks.

Thanks Nacho, I like the look of that Hummie, I’ve yet to find a LandYaughtz shape that does it for me, they proabbly look better with Wheels on.

I was hoping to find a board without the cut-out for drop-through trucks, still will with the lowered drop-down shape. Now I am just bring picky.

Redember if you’re looking for a slight drop but not a huge one.

If you plan on using geardrives it’s worth checking their compability with the deck (for instance I believe drop-through on the hummie wont work with 220m trucks running boardnamic geardrives (since they are forward mounted and the deck will hit the drives on drop-through).

Here is a pic of my TB-40 deck with BigBen enclosure. The TB-40 deck is very similar to the hummie, I would go for the hummie deck though.

Their Switch35 looks nice, stock situation looks real bad in the UK, patience has never been a life skill of mine

Just gonna tell you right now trying to get good clearance with a double drop is not a great time

Evo and the Century are the only boards people seem to consistently bother running

I would go for the Hummie or TB40 if I were you looking for a small drop. I love my hummie deck

I was looking at these decks today

Just order without the trucks etc. Unfortunately I cant tell you anything about them other than I think they look cool.

I think you’re right, was trying to replace a tank of a a deck but I don’t want to overcompensate and end up on something tiny.

It’s more the style of the switch I was into, that sleek lowrider vibe.

Everyone is different, but the drop on the switch is too much and uncomfortable for me. If you want that style deck, the Rayne Demonseed is more comfortable to me with it’s more subtle yet still substantial drop.

Right, I’ve bit a bullet. And bought myself a Rayne Demonseed on your advice.

I went 39 inch, although I’m tall and could probably do with the stance, I was always making a more nimble street board, so I didn’t want to end up with too much of a tank.

@Nacho @ShutterShock Nexus sold out of Hummies in the last 2 days since you’re post.

This whole thread is bullocks.

The best deck is the Bustin Sportster. End of discussion.

Oh, I think the enclosure available for that deck is for the 42" version
