Hey Doug, I’ll let you in on a little information / advice right now. The community was burned by someone who had an awesome new product a little while ago, and is still a little wary of newcomers because of it.

I am convinced of your methods and what you’re doing at this point (I’d imagine that was clear since I bought into this). There’s no vaporware and you’re working hard. However. The path forward from here is what REALLY matters on this forum.

1: Updates. I would come up with a rough schedule of how you want to post updates about the project. Make it official, make it consistent. The more information you provide consistently, the more people will trust you. Once you deliver and then continue to support, you’ve got it. But from now until then (proclaimed Oct) you’ll need to put some work in on here.

2: Q&A. Seems like you’ve got this down pretty well, good job. Answer any questions with evidence, like I said, you’re doing well with this.

3: Response time. Don’t go crazy over it, but be available when you can. An involved vendor is a more trusted vendor than one that puts out a message and then disappears for three weeks.

That’s just my advice for now. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions, I’ve been around on here for several years now and watched lots of things go down

This guy is right. Listen to him. I’d say keep going to the intro to speed events and keep letting people try them as you improve the product. Record their reactions, because that’s what sold me.

Edit: if you wanna get access to a huge market, try and hit up my buddy Tom and tell him Jackson sent you. He’s a huge name in the non-diy esk8 market. If you want a bunch of sales and trust on the east coast, he is your guy.

I also shared this skepticism on Facebook. To his credit his associate gene offered to send me a prototype set to prove me wrong.

I have offered back to back metr logs on A local race track to compare like for like tb110vs these and will also allow people to try them at any of the Brisbane group rides. Looks like if they arrive I’ll take them to the next big evolve gokart track race in 1 months time too.
This is on a 43mph board so it should be interesting

Yeah I was a lot closer to hitting the buy button after I heard “more grip than the 110s”

Like a lot closer

I think the interesting thing that I found out after I read more was that the sidewalls aren’t as soft as we think.

Besides that, the spoke design if you want to call it that isn’t just round holes drilled into the side of urethane, it’s seemingly more purposeful than that. I’m definitely excited to try them out but it’s gonna be a bit of a wait

Seeing that they are a little less battery hungry than Cloudwheels was cool too. The only thing I’m a little worried about is clearance with my DS hummie drop through mounted haha the TB 110’s just give me enough

@ShutterShock Thanks for the tips. I am completely transparent. I’m in it for the long haul so I’m not incentivized to be a shitty person. Will DM if I have any questions or need advice. TY!!

@jack.luis Thanks! I’ll hit him up but if he doesn’t respond, can I ask a warm intro from you to him? TY.

@Pottsy Sounds great!

@Fosterqc for science

Yes. For sure. But if you mention my name he should respond.

After considering grabbing clouds for a month or two & then finding this post last night…
Well you’ve managed to sell me overnight congrats.

Think these are such a great idea and I can see the effort and expertise you’ve already put into them.

Hoping everything works out for you !

So excited to give them a go

Thank you so much! Please let me know if you have any questions at all. I am very active here.

To all, I’ll be sharing a schedule of things to come as far as when the tooling is complete, how the initial Q&A goes, any development hiccups, and shipping. Aiming for Monday.

I’m brand new to esk8 and was in the market for exway flex cloudwheels, managed to snag the 75th hollow wheels preorder instead.

@TheGoodMomentum With the current covid conditions, I have no idea what state I will be located in around October. Will I be able to change my address as the time gets closer? Thanks.

Really excited for this project though, good luck.

I was interested if you would be able to sell a matching molded pulley? or is that not in your plans at all
