Different Firmware on each side of my VESC, unable to flash, help needed

Hello,

I’m struggleling with my VESC setup
I had to reprogram everything and I decided to update to the latest FW my ESC supports (3.65)
It did update correctly on one side but the other side refuses to update.
It’s locked to 3.52 or something
the tools tells me It’s been updated but when I reboot it comes back to what it was before.
Been trying several times.
Anybody can help me ?

Cheers,
D.

go to firmware page then bootloader and flash it

It’s the esk8supply/boundmotor esc

did you update the firmware separately or you use the update all option within the VESC tool app?

I did update them separately

Ok, I’ve been able to upgrade one VESC to 5.02
The other one is 3.52, connection disconnecting when boutloader update ends.
I’m getting desperate
Really nobody has a solution?

Ok, I’ve seen than you can erase the chip with a ST-link
This is my ESC, do you think I could do it?
i’m not sure

I used an ST linkv2 to try to do this.

Do you have vesc 6 hardware laying around?

You can use a 6.xx hardware esc to fix firmware issues on other escs

It’s the SWD functionality. I’ll hunt for franks how-to.

Since these are more of a middle ground between an esc and a true vesc, I would leave it at stock.

Agreed, I feel like I remember the same thing happening to one of these ‘vescs’ on an esk8supply testing thread

Total nood as you may guess
What Hadware are you talking about?
I’m not even sure I could plug a ST-Link in my limited Pseudo-VESC

Vesc6 or any of trampas escs, flipsky 6.6 singles or doubles.

I had trouble with the St link, the drivers to get it to talk to your computer are kinda sketchy

By stock you mean 180 $ junk? :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you connecting to the slave Esc by can forwarding?

It’s a prebuilt board, I just changed my dead remote which didn’t work so I had to launch this lovely VESCTool, probably did somthing wrong following a video and bricked it
That’s about all I know about the subject, sorry

VESC tool?

… I think that Esc is 6. Xx hardware based. You can use one to fix the other
