You have to do the backups manually at the moment. I’d like to add some automation options though. Maybe connecting the charger could trigger a backup. It’s challenging to do it on the current DAVEGA hardware because of the memory constraints. The next generation DAVEGA will definitely have the feature.

I updated my vesc fw to 5.1 
And it’s not conpatible.

Any idea what quarter the next version would be out in? May wait out for it 
No idea, sorry. Currently waiting for prototype boards from JLCPCB. They have been on the way since March 22. Shipping is so slow now.
I think it will need one more iteration before it’s ready for production. My wild guess would be some time around August. It may be earlier if everything goes smoothly. Unfortunately, that’s rarely the case.

Backups can now be listed-on and download-from the davega.eu website. Open the “backups” page and enter your device ID into the form. You’ll get the listing of your last 20 backups and can download any of them as a .dfs file. The .dfs file can then be imported using the DAVEGA X Tool. I hope this is useful. (@Mainflow)

BTW, the backups are not device specific. Importing a backup made on a device X into a device Y is perfectly possible. Note that the config as well as all the odometer data on the target device will be rewritten.

How TF did you strip all of them? Were you like sleep tightening the screws 
The only reason my one striped was because I forgot to check the screw before tightening it down…
