I’ve got an issue with Dashware.
http://www.dashware.net/dashware-download/
I’m using @jaykup files (https://forum.esk8.news/uploads/short-url/cHGv2hp6Vbx7nIIhoTsUWIp4OPq.zip ) to add Metr data to an Insta360 One X video.
I’ve played with Dashware a bit, made this:
Here are some longer versions that show how the throttle bars and all that work:
These are the data profiles/gauges/etc that go into the “Documents/Dashware” folder.
Dashware.zip (606.5 KB)
Eventually I’ll do a full write up, but for now this should be enough to get you started
In the application everything is Ok :
But when I “create the video” I obtain this sad result :
When creating video, my only choice of video encoder is “Windows Media Foundation” :
I tried to install “Codek Tweak Tool” but it’s a mess. I installed ffmpeg but it’s not an encoder at the end and it seems I’m not able to use it to export video.
Dashware only works with Windows and I’m a macintosh guy but so maybe I’m missing something…
I also tried to create video with Dashware but without any overlay and got the same result. Video length is not the issue.

Ok I’ve finaly found a way after many hours trying.
It works at least with Insta360 One X mp4 files.
So you have to convert this mp4 file with VLC before using it in DashWare, with following settings :
A part of the problem was the video bitrate, but not only obviously.
