What about modifying second hand Raptor 2.1 ? They have comfy wheels for their trucks. I do need new deck and prob different battery with different case ? The whole sh$$ is prob expensive tho.

Most power hungry maybe. If you want something similar to hubs, you can get direct drives. They have the same power output as belt and gear drives but smaller profile and slightly less noise, and you can still put full thane wheels

AWSM GT is essentially an AEboard AX Plus rebranded. I’m also in your camp of thinking that holes in the wheels may have something to it, I just need to test it one day. AEboard is so convinced their holey wheels are perfect that they’ve applied it to all their latest models, including their latest Mini, which looks pretty cute and tempting.
