Direct drives are awesome and if I could make them perfect for my setup then even better

Maybe even I could just order new stators and refit them if something goes wrong

Iā€™d caution thatā€¦ I donā€™t wanna fukkup the insulation on the statorā€¦ Iā€™m going for my dremel nowā€¦ I just need one good phase or at least one good stator tooth to count the windsā€¦

Oh it sucks it takes months to centre it and finally get it onto the screw holes at the back

these were notoriously a PITA to assemble as described by the people assembling them 2ish years ago, disassembly and reassembly was highly cautioned against

donā€™t put the screws back inā€¦ just slide the motor bell, rotor, can whatever you call it over the axle and see it you can get it mounted back on the statorā€¦

@kook what size gear puller is necessary 6inch?

found a local shop which does 6inch and 4inch ones

so managed to get stator 1 off and gonna try starting to unravel today

i have removed the black and grey piece and have isolated all phases

gonna count the amount of strands within the phase and then try unraveling all phases

thanks to everyone picks to come
