What if you put the stator in the oven for 200 degrees for half an hour or so, wouldnt the epoxy give eventually?

yeah… I used my hot air station and heated (only some of the vile goo up as a test) have you ever worked on super-heated copper windings? and it seemed to make the epoxy even more vile…

in honesty I feel this is almost a lost cause economically…

I guess dremel down to the stator on both sides, heat up until satan starts to emerge, quickly pull with some magic pliers

Yeah just order a new motor form hobby king

I got a sk8 6364 110kv and maybe a sk8 6364 190kv which I could reconfigure as wye to get 110kv

if only I had the patience of Job and kevlar gloves and underware…

hes evil

got my replacement stator coming today hopefully i can get it working

would it work 1 motor sensored and 1 hfi?

so received my motor and removed stator and fitted onto the truck
perfect fit

sadly i stripped the bolt between the truck and stator holder piece
i believe its an m2 35mm bolt but not 100% surre
@kook
i dont think i have one but might be able to pick one up from screwfix

then i will try to see if this motor works well and if i can get them going good

suprisingly these motors are configured in delta which means jerry must have bought the 190kv version and reconfigured that into wye

so fitted the motor together and it detects and spins fine

gonna try fixing the other motors hall sensors by soldering the wires again and see how it goes

hopefully will put on my setup and try to run today or tomorrow

So put together the setup and went for a ride got this noise when travelling around 10-15mph
Managed to recreate on the bench

Anyone have any idea what it is
It only comes from one motor

probably something that isn’t put together properly. something is definatly loose and vibrating.

yeah but not sure what

Mine had a similar sound and after I cleaned and put them back together the sound was gone. I’m 99% sure the sound was because the screws that go into this piece had become loose:

As a result the stator could spin on the axle back and forth when you applied enough force. I replaced the screws and applied blue loctite and problem solved.

Hi @kook my master

Also @lazopm I thought it might be thta and there is a little play of the stator on the axle
I tried. Loctiting them already but there is still play

If it’s that noise then I def will try and work out a fix
