I’m really hoping they will keep their short track focus. I really don’t want them to make a straight longer than last year. Even that was just a little bit too long.

Honestly the track last year felt good, lotta corners. They even made one of the corner sharper at the turn before the straight before finals.
I liked last years track other than that the main straight was slightly too long. They actually had to make it slightly longer than planned due to some surface issue, the planned length would have been perfect.

I’m hearing rumors it might be the last one, especially since vendors aren’t showing up. Bitching about not profiting or whatever. Which isn’t shocking. Esk8 companies going tits up here and there

2024 was the peak. Last year was like half the vendors than 2024. On top of that, last year there weren’t even really vendors. Just tents with a bunch of ppl sitting around. Only like 6 vendors actually had product to show. And also race tickets sold out in a few days 2024. It’s been like 2 months and race tickets are still on sale. Plus no hype, and silence on esk8con.

Right, those are facets that indicate less popularity
But has any entity, Mboards or otherwise, come out and have said those are factors they’ve considered, and therefore, this is the final year?
I’m not trying to press you, because, again, I don’t doubt the legitimacy of the claim, due to the decreased popularity. But has there been any official word that this is the last Esk8con by any source?

Guess it depends on the financing? From the race perspective the last year was just another step-up.

I feel like last year was a transition from a convention focus to race focus.
Anyways I really hope they start teasing something soon. I want to wait until more info drops officially before I plan my trip and buy my tickets. Plane tickets are pretty cheap right now, hope those won’t go up in price before they share more info about this years event.
