I couldn’t go last year due to work travel. I did notice from Esk8Con 2025 YT videos that there were less vendor tents but thought it was because of the larger lot. Just went to check vendor history. 2025 had less than 2022?!?!

Thats really interesting visual for sure! Anyway they did invest in the new timing and announced better than ever esk8con for this year with knowledge of all this, so it was probably not a deal breaker.

Bummer for sure! I felt like it was going to happen as well when I put that annual vendor image together. Hopefully Mike will revisit the idea in the next couple years. Maybe go back to the smaller lot and be able to lower the cost for vendors, racers and general spectators. It’s a lot of work, but if possible, get a group rate from a downtown hotels and use the lower housing cost to entice visitors.

I was about to make my hotel arrangements this week. Might still do it and make the 4hr drive just to ride Red Rock and Wetlands trail. The trails in my area has way to many ebike kids these days, I need some space!

I’ll be there too. Gonna meet up with a few ppl for golden steer. Gonna spend the weekend riding and shit. The tunnels and spill way ate fun to ride. When it’s not raining

The tunnel was all fun and games until I almost drank sewer “water” when two rats darted in front of me 
. Man, that was a lifetime ago from Esk8Squad Renegade 2018. I broke a belt in the sewer I was running two 9MM belts then.

Still wonder how many people would be in for like a one-day race without cash prizes and all that stuff. Just use the tradition and gather for a community shakedown. With group rides for the other days. Personally I wonder if restructuring would still not make more sense than calling it all off. Temporary rebranding… or something.

I know that venders invest a lot of money and effort to make it to the con. The vendor side of the event was pretty lackluster last year. I imagine that made it pretty hard to get venders interested this year.
