Thanks for not noticing it. It’s electric
It’s the most stealthy board possible.

When Mello was first getting started I suggested they make some changes to the hanger’s bushing seats which I think they ignored. Would you mind taking some pictures of the seats so I can see what you ended up with

I hope this helps. (These trucks are pretty old I think)

OK, looks like they will fit Cones, Barrels, Canons and FatCones. I suggest 2 pair of KranK 87a Canons and use flat washers up front and cupped washers in the back.

what did you wrap your phase wires in - or better said > What was your process

that’s just black heatshrink lol

@RipTideSports Truck angle adjustment range is 0-50 degrees and deck angles on the evo are a 15 degree wedge on the front, and a 15 degree dewedge on the rear

Context for @ARZ’s post:

  1. I’m going to use Boardnamics 220mm hangers paired with Boardnamics adjustable baseplates
  2. Not currently using aftermarket bushings
  3. I’m not sure how they feel stock because I’m not entirely sure you can buy these trucks complete. I would like them to be super stable at ~30-35mph, but also have pretty good turning radius if possible.
  4. Going to be street skating only, at around 25-35mph
  5. Going to be using an LY Evo 40" and TB 110mm wheels
  6. I weigh 150lbs

Thanks man! Hopefully you’re able to help set me up with something. Also, do you know anything about truck angles/split angles? I’m not too sure myself how that works but am going to buy angle-adjustable baseplates so I can change the angles for maximum stability.

Just wanna throw in if they are BN adjustable Baseplates the 0-50 is kinda true. That would insinuate you can use all angles in between 0-50 which is not the case

The angles come with the options of 0, 15, 30, 40, and 50 degrees. You can use risers to make it more variable but figured I’d throw that in.

Unless there are new Baseplates. :eyes::call_me_hand:

Right. Forgot to include that, that is true

OK @ARZ, you have a lot of research to do so I suggest using our KranK compound because it widens the range of adjustment. Also have both flat washers and cupped washes available for additional tuning options. For your application (adjustable base plates and a plus and minus 15 degree deck) I would suggest determining what the maximum deck lean the setup will take before you run into interference issues such as wheel bite or deck drag. I have a tendency to go for the most lean I can for the amount of turning radius I need which means minimizing the effective base plate angle and maximizing the lean. What I am saying is a 60 degree front truck turns a lot for the amount of lean but it is not very comfortable because the lean is minimal and the turn is not. On my NKP 3- Link trucks for hill climbs and mountain road riding I run a 32 degree front and a 5 degree rear. The setup leans a lot and feels perfect at speed. Once you get the setup put together, throw some soft bushings in there to see what issues a high lean setup present then let me know the effective angles you want to run and I can recommend what to use to get you going.

Thank you! I appreciate the response. I was thinking of running 50 degree front and 35 degree rear, but I’m not too sure. I’ll get it all setup with some soft bushings to start with the krank compound and I’ll let you know.

If you don’t have soft bushings just use what you have but do not tighten them. KranK duros and shape will be determined by what angles you decide on

@RipTideSports i just received my pivot cups and noticed that one has a cut. Should i ignore it or get it exchanged?

Ordered from a reseller

Hey Brad. Working on a new build and need some stuff. I’ll answer your questions here as best as I can:

  1. I will use Kahua hangers with @rey8801 Hammock adjustable baseplates. Feel free to recommend angles.
  2. New build. Not currently using any bushings.
  3. Sorry. Haven’t ridden yet.
  4. I ride my boards around town. This will be my fastest board. I will be looking for stability first on this board.
  5. Switchblade 40 deck. I won’t allow wheel bite in the build.
  6. I weigh 190 lb.

I would like to go with higher duro in the rear truck.
I will ping @rey8801 and see if he has any advice also.

Edit: looking for pivot cups and bushings
